We need something to shake things up. So pull out your prettiest dress, get your hair done, and come on over!
5 Minutes for Mom is hosting The Ultimate Blog Party!
This will be the place to be. Get your blog noticed, win prizes, hang out with your friends and meet some new ones.
Here is how it will work:
- Invite your friends
Put our Invitation Button on your sidebar and write a post inviting all your friends.(I have always loved BIG parties – the bigger the better. I hate to be exclusive – so EVERYONE is invited!)
Simply copy and paste the following code into your sidebar and it should look like the button you see below.
Come on over to the party
It will be a week long bash starting March 2, 2007 and ending with the big prize giveaway on March 9, 2007.All party guests who sign the Mr. Linky by 12pm Eastern on March 8, 2007 and who invited guests (invited friends via a post and have an Invitation Button on their blog) are eligible for our random draw prizes. Prizes will be announced at 5 Minutes for Mom at 7pm Eastern on March 9, 2007.
Note: Please use only the central Mr. Linky at 5 Minutes for Mom. Since only bloggers listed on this Linky will be eligible for prizes, we don’t want anyone to miss out by adding their name to another Linky. Please link directly to your Ultimate Blog Party post or have your Ultimate Blog Party post as a sticky at the top of your home page.
- Don’t forget you are hosting too!
This Blog Party is all about meeting people – so put out some food, turn up the music and tell us a bit about yourself.Yes – what would a party be without small talk? Be as funny, creative or straight forward as you like. Include a recipe or two, stream some music or videos, add a voice post or video of yourself, decorate your place – whatever will put you in a party mood. Be creative and have fun!
- Submit a prize (optional)
Our prize page will be generating a lot of traffic and attention. So if your blog or store wants to submit a prize let us know.Everyone is welcome to host a prize. All prizes will be listed on our Ultimate Blog Party Prize Page. The page will be continually updated with new prizes as they are submitted.
Please Note: Prizes must be for something FREE. Discounts on products and services will not be included. If you are providing a gift certificate, it must be for an amount that can purchase an item.
Only party guests (signed the Linky and invited guests via a post and Invitation Button) will be eligible to win prizes. All prizes will be awarded by a random draw. 5 Minutes for Mom (Janice and Susan) will not be eligible in the draw. Prize hosts will be responsible for sending their prize to their winner. If a prize host wins their own prize, their name will be put back and a new name will be drawn.
- Get out there and MINGLE!
Don’t sit in a corner and only chat with people you know! Search the Linky and look for names you don’t recognize and head on over to their place to meet some new people. - And Then… and this is so fun we are just so excited…
The week after the Blog Party, write a post and introduce some of the new bloggers you met at the party.

I think holiday season is never over. As long as you are willing to celebrate, there is always a reason!
There have been many events I have been to over the years. I’ve seen all kinds of entertainment. Live performers off all kinds. What I like most is live music at an event. A good live band is the best any party or event could ever hope for. Not surprisingly the opposite is so true. :
The most fun I have ever had though without question is when I have taken advantage of sitting in on a photo booth when they have them at a party. These days they are getting very modern and fancy. It used to be a few people in a box. I love those too. the newer variety that come with photographers with editorial backgrounds and creative imaginations are something else.

My family loves the holidays, beginning with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Mardi Gras so we always have lots of parties. This year I decided to find real unique holiday cards that I could write my own holiday party invitation wordings. I found three great sites, Halloween Party Invitations, Scary Halloween Invitations and Christmas Invitations. I added all three sites to my favorites and ordered from Holiday-Invitations and was very pleased. I got lots of compliments, and was so happy. It made the holidays extra special!

WOW, was that cool!! They also printed and shipped my order the same day I ordered. I could not find any other place on the internet who did that. They are GREAT!!

But now, my listing is completely gone! I can’t find it at all, and I don’t know if I am still listed, why it disappeared, or if I got entered in the contest.

I have got to “master” adding stuff to my sidebar in TypePad. I soo enjoy the reading/writing aspect of blogging, I dawdle on the techie side.
Y’all never cease to amaze me with your innovativeness! The only reason I don’t read you more often, is b/c you have a gazillion readers (commenters) already :/. Not a good reason…some of your comments (to my old blog) were some of my favorites….thinking Jack Kevorkian and snot flying right now–ha!
