Although there is no substitute for good content on a blog, I have always been of the opinion that a good post is always enhanced by a good photo (or two!).
Most of my posts on my personal blog revolve around my family and the things going on in our lives. But more and more often I find myself writing content about parenting and life in general or about social media and blogging itself.
I find myself needing good quality stock photos to go along with those posts.
This month, I’ve been testing out a stock photo site called 123RF for my posts here on 5 Minutes for Mom. You might have noticed pictures like this:

About 123RF:
123RF.com is one of the world’s largest players in the royalty-free microstock photography industry. Since debuting in June 2005, 123RF.com hosts over 10 million stock photographs and vector illustrations with over 100,000 contributing photographers and illustrators, to date.
123RF.com also creates a platform for photographers, illustrators and designers to showcase their talent, giving them the ability and opportunity for them to promote and sell their creations to a worldwide audience through a sales profit sharing model between 123RF and each contributor.
With images going for less than a dollar, 123RF.com is committed to making high quality stock photography affordable for everyone. 123RF.com also offers its clients the flexibility of acquiring images via subscription plans or credit packages, whichever suits their needs better.
Our experience: 123RF has been one of the easiest stock photo sites that we’ve tried out. Downloading is quick and simple and the selection has been fabulous.
One of the things we’ve loves about our account has been the little link that appears every time we download a photo, making it easy to remember to say, “Hey, we got this fabulous picture from 123RF.”
Win it!
123RF is giving away THREE 30 day subscription packs to 5 Minutes for Mom readers. With this subscription, you will be able to download up to 5 Royalty-Free images or illustrations per day for 30 days.
To enter to win one of the stock photo subscriptions, simply leave a comment on this post letting us know what kind of images you would download.
This giveaway will end on November 14, 2011 at midnight ET and a winner will be chosen at random and announced on Sunday in the weekly Around The Blogosphere. Please see our site’s terms and conditions for more information.

I could definitely use some images for blogging, specifically ones for Christmas related posts going up in the next months. Sometimes I just don’t have the right photo {usually with food, food photos are hard to take} and every post needs that perfect photo – or it’s not complete!!
I’d love to try this out, thanks for the chance!!

I would download generic images for blog posts. Things like babies, pregnant bellies, sunsets, food, cooking, Christian related things…

I think I would mostly download pictures of animals or flowers. For some reason I’m always looking for good pictures of things in nature.

I love this company. I only buy my images from them. If I won, I would use images for my weight loss/fitness blog and our new travel blog as well.

I’m always in need of general holiday images. With Christmas and Thanksgiving coming up, this would be a great help!
