The sun is shining outside, so let’s celebrate with a frosted Lemon Iced Tea Smoothie. You’ll love this easy and refreshing smoothie recipe.
If you want something frosty and fun to sip in the sunshine, or if you are just in the mood to shake up your smoothie routine with something a little different, how about mixing up a Lemon Iced Tea Smoothie.
The best part of making smoothies is that anything goes. You can be as creative as you want and use whatever you have on hand. So as usual, if you don’t have all of the ingredients I used in this frozen drink, just swap it for something else you do have ready to go.
For this Lemon Iced Tea Smoothie recipe, (I guess technically it is a Lemon Lime Iced Tea Smoothie,) I used Organic Oasis HydraFruit Iced Tea.
We worked with Oasis a few months ago, sharing about their new organic HydraFruit juice and water blend beverages and our kids decided it is their new favorite kind of juice.
So, this post is NOT sponsored by Oasis, but I did want to let you know that I used Oasis HydraFruit in the recipe because it has a unique lemony ice tea taste and it is also quite yellow, so that helped keep our smoothie from looking brown like some iced teas.
The Oasis HydraFruit Iced Tea is also organic and has 60% less sugar – with no fake sweeteners. So I am a fan and it works beautifully for this drink.
Of course, you can use any kind of iced tea or sweet tea you want for your smoothie. A fruit herbal tea, iced and sweetened lightly, would be delicious.
Also keeping our smoothie yellow is a frozen banana and a fresh pear. If you aren’t fans of pears or bananas, swap them for whatever fruit you like. Strawberries or mango would be great too.
We garnished with mint, (and I added in a bit of mint when I blended it because I love mint,) but if you don’t have fresh mint, no worries.
Has the sun been shining in your neighborhood recently? I know so many people are affected by flooding lately. I hope you and yours are safe and well.
Cheers to a happy, healthy spring!
