Do your kids make Christmas wish lists? Do they love browsing through toy catalogues and picking out their favorites? If so, I’m here to help your kids get those holiday wish lists started. This post is sponsored, so extra thanks for sharing.

I remember being a kid and spending hours flipping through catalogues and dreaming of playing with all the different toys. It didn’t matter that I knew I wouldn’t get all of them… it was fun to imagine which ones would land under our tree.

Reading ToysRUs Book of Awesome

My girls faces lit up with excitement when they saw this year’s Great Big Toys“R”Us Book of Awesome.

Book of Awesome

This awesome guide is packed with nearly 1,000 of the year’s hottest toys and deals – which are in effect until Saturday, November 21.

If you did not receive your book in the mail, you can visit your local Toys“R”Us store to pick up a copy.

Take a Peek

For kids, a big part of the fun of the holidays starts with “a wish list” or “letter to Santa”. And there’s no better way to start that list, than by browsing through the “Book of Awesome”.

Here’s an inside look inside the book…

Favorite Toys

My girls go through phases of favorite toys… and right now they are loving Shopkins!

They’ve always loved little collectible toys that they can act out in endless stories. So even though they’ve already got a few Shopkins, I’m pretty confident there will be more under our tree.

Book of Awesome Page

It’s Interactive

This isn’t your regular catalogue… this year, The Great Big Toys“R”Us Book of Awesome has an augmented reality experience through which kids are able to bring their favorite toys from the book to life within The Geoffrey Shuffle app game.

Book of Awesome - Interactive

Using the app, kids can examine their favorite toys by zooming-in to see details, spinning or walking around pages of the interactive edition of The Great Big Toys“R”Us Book of Awesome for different angles or capturing photos of their favorite toys within the game.

(For our Canadian friends, sorry… currently the app only works in the US.)

Geoffrey Shuffle Tutorial

To play, look for a golden Geoffrey coin, located at the bottom corners of the book’s pages. Once located, hold a smart phone or tablet over the respective page and the game will begin loading.

The game encourages players to find Geoffrey as he and two other kid-favorite licensed characters, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barbie, Darth Vader and more, hide in shuffled gift boxes.

Upon completing the game, players can enter Geoffrey’s Awesome Christmas Sweepstakes for a chance to win awesome prizes, including a $2,000 Toys“R”Us Gift Card and a Beaches® Resorts Luxury Included® Vacation.
