Wordless Wednesday — It’s a Small World

Written by Janice
“It’s a Small World”

The strongest memory I have of visiting Disneyland when I was six is from “It’s a Small World.”

It was so fun to relive the memories at Disney World this February with my kids. Both Olivia and Jackson loved it!

That’s awesome! I love reliving my childhood memories through my child – it’s so awesome!

Oh I remember ‘It’s A Small World’ – and can’t wait to share it with my kids someday! :)

fidget @ 11:55 pm

I loved riding in the small world boat.

Louise @ 11:56 pm

It’s kinda scary to me

Michelle @ 11:56 pm

Ohhh…I loved this ride!! I had the best pictures from being there with my family in high school….and somehow they got ruined. This is great!

“It’s a Small World” lodges itself into your psyche, never to leave. I think they have drugs in the water or something :) . It was my favorite ride as a child, but when I went back to Disney with my kids a few years ago, I was surprised by how juvenile it was! BUT…I kinda liked its kitschiness (even if it was a little scary, lol).

You sound like you had a MARVELOUS time (read your other recap the other day but didn’t have time to comment at that time).

:)

Maddy @ 12:04 am

Sadly we have yet to make it to Disney anything. Quite strangely my husband has been to three of the Disney locations all before we had any children at all. Danged tourists.
Cheers

I love It’s a small world

momstheword @ 12:24 am

I love Disneyland and Disney World. Now, however, I have that song going around in my head. I don’t think it’s going to leave anytime soon either…….

angie @ 1:00 am

Heather @ 1:04 am

sheila @ 6:07 am

I remember waiting for 2 hours in line for this ‘ride’. lol With three little kids, my husband, my parents and sister/hubby in 95 degree full sun. lol. Oh the memories! It’s been 8 yrs since we went there and we still have one particular saying that we use that we took off the walls of that ride…”What the Crap”. I’m not sure if that’s actually how it’s spelled, but you know all those sayings on the walls from different languages? That was one of them! LOL. How funny!

Run DMT @ 6:12 am

My girls love that ride! But that song stays in your head!

WE LOVE Small World!!!! We saw it at Disney World. We are Disney fanatics! Our oldest has been there 6 times now. Kids grow up TOO fast…nothing like Disney MAGIC!

I love the shadows and the light – such a different view from the traditional bright lights and bright colors!

I love that, too. I am curious to see how the revamp compares to my childhood memories. I loved all the old Disney kitsch- Tiki Room, etc.

One of my most favorite rides is It’s a Small World!!! The last time we were at Disneyland it was closed for repairs… =(

Thanks for sharing!
Ciao

I remember going on this ride at Disneyland. That was fun!

Jenn Albright @ 5:59 pm

We are heading there next week, to disneyland, cant wait to take my toddler on this ride, my oldest has been on it the last 3 times he was at disneyland (spoiled little boy by his grandparents)

Melanie @ 5:59 pm

That picture turned out well! Now I’ll be singing the song all day . . . lol

Kalisha @ 6:33 pm

Like the comment above me…Thanks! That song will be stuck in my head the rest of the day!
It looks like you had a great time–I can’t wait for a nice family vacation.

babyrocasmama/Shan @ 8:51 pm

I remember It’s a Small World (I grew up in OC, CA-original Disneyland) I can remember where all the little sections were and the countries, etc. Now they have changed the ride and added Disney characters…it’s just not the same anymore!

But, like you, I still have my memories.

Great picture…ours were always so blurry.

Great shot! I love Disney World and that ride.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a WW, but my sister has been begging for one… I can’t wait to check out some of the others when DH goes back to Iraq. Until then, he’s got all my time!
