A visit to Seattle wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Pike Market…
AND without spending time with Seattle-resident Jenny on the Spot.
Fortunately, when I was in Seattle in October for Seattle’s Best Coffee Camp, I got to do both! (BTW, if you haven’t met Jenny yet, you can read my post about how fabulous Jenny Ingram is and find out why you will love her too!)
We had a great day…
How could we not! The sun was shining, the coffee was hot and delicious, (thanks to Seattle’s Best Coffee!) and the market was beautiful.
But, how did Jenny end up with a fish flying at her head???
Well, the Seattle’s Best Coffee crew gave us each $20 and a Flip to go create some “Bright Spots” in strangers’ days. So off we went to do some random acts of kindness!
We ended up in Pike Place Fish Market buying coffee and cannolis for the super fun and enthusiastic guys who, among their fish selling duties, hurl fish at each other.
As you can imagine, we were pretty popular with the fish-throwing guys — bringing them free coffee and cannolis. So, they invited us to catch some fish. Or maybe Jenny asked to catch the fish. I don’t remember.
I just remember NOT wanting my hands to stink like fish all day and opting to take photos of Jenny catching the fish versus actually catching a fish myself.
What can I say — it was classic Jenny on the Spot.
First, she watched how it was done by the professionals.
Yes, that is her – Jenny Ingram – in the back screaming like a girl.
Then they handed the fish to Jenny — to get her “hands” wet…
The big event…
And that is how Jenny on the Spot caught a fish, in her bare hands. (And why she smelled like fish all day at Starbucks headquarters.)
P.S. In case you missed it, I posted more about our fascinating day with Seattle’s Best Coffee yesterday, along with a coffee giveaway! So, head on over and enter to get some free coffee and see some more photos from Coffee Camp.

nice post, keep up with this interesting work. It really is good to know that this topic is being covered also on this web site so nice one for taking time to discuss this!
So I’m a little confused. Why did you spend all day at the Starbucks headquarters if you were at a Seattle’s Best Coffee Camp? 😉
Those photos are sooooo Jenny. I’m cracking up!
So. Much. Awesome. 🙂
Crack me up, When I see them start throwing fish, I start backing up!!
Hahahahahahhaa! Jenny is too funny. I think I’ve become addicted to her, thanks to your post about her vlogs. I watched them all and follow her hiliarious tweets too.
Awesome! Love that I made a new Jenny fan! 🙂
Love this. The whole story. LOL!!
Thanks! 🙂 It was so fun to post it and remember the day!
Such classic Jenny!!!
A pink puffy *heart* for you, my dear Susan!
That is too cool! She did a great job catching that fish.
She sure did! She is such a great sport!
Oh my gosh, I’m sitting here chuckling. That’s so funny. I thought they wore gloves when they catch fish. Either way, I’m so glad you had a great day!
I don’t remember seeing any gloves! And they didn’t offer them up either. LOL
That is how I would look catching a fish.
LOL – I just love that I got her facial expressions! Just so fun!
I know! How could a person not?!
OMG – that is so funny! I can practically hear her screaming. Looks like you ladies had a ton of fun 🙂
And scream she did! Such a riot!
hahahaha!! That looks like SO much fun!! She looks great, even if she did smell a little fishy! lol
It was a blast! Seriously, you cannot NOT have fun with Jenny!!!
I’m blushing 🙂
