I must say this is one of the best contests I’ve seen. I started seeing a chiropractor at age 13. I am 4’11” and 93 lbs. have had 3 kids and 4 epiderals for the kids and hernia operation. So needless to say my back and neck are always in pain and I don’t sleep well at all. I’ve wanted one of these since I first heard of them. I am a new subscriber. I would like to win this because I have not had a decent night’s sleep for many years and it shows in the way I feel both physically and mentally throughout the day. My husband and I have never been able to buy any except the cheapest of mattresses. When we were younger, we were struggling to raise our four children and their needs came first. Now, we are middle-aged. My husband is a disabled Vietnam veteran (one of his problems is severe back pain from the damages to his back during the war) and I am a victim of polio, with resulting scoliosis, post-polio syndrome which is now affecting my entire body (this was diagnosed a few years ago), severe osteoporosis, and arthritis caused by all of the above. We are on a very limited income and I am unable to get any medical help in this state, which we moved to a year ago, because the state considers my husband’s VA and SS disability to be MY income. I’m ineligable to draw SS and Medicare because I have never been able to work outside the home, due to my health. Things are much more expensive here than they were in Tennessee, so he and I live pretty much hand-to-mouth. I am an insomniac because I can not sleep for more than a few hours on our bed; it dips in the middle. I can’t afford to replace it but, yes, we do manage to pay for my Internet! I am pretty much house-bound and do not know anyone here, so to perserve my sanity, my husband makes sure that I can at least have this. It is my only means of communication with the world outside our home. We don’t own a car and can’t even pay for cable TV. It would help just to be able to sleep well. We have very little else.

I really need a new bed.
I have not been pain free for one day in over 2 years now. This bed would be heaven. My back is that of an old lady (I am young!), my hips ache. No, this is not a sob story, this is my daily life. It has destroyed what I use to have…I use to have a life. I could prove this is not a sob story if needed.
We purchased one of those ‘fake’ temperpedic beds, it felt wonderful and I had some relief in the mornings, I could get out of bed without laying there for a while waiting for the blood to relax my hips/back enough to get up. Well you get what you pay for. The astronaut foam did not last, it is now lumpy and hard and it hurts.

We have a queen-sized frame but two twin mattresses. Aout five years ago, we bought new mattresses from a local place that made them. They weren’t that old when we heard something crack in my husband’s, and we knew they had warranties, we just couldn’t find the paperwork. A lot of stuff got lost when we were forced to relocate after Hurricane Ivan. So, they’ve continued to get saggier and saggier, and we desperately need a replacement. This would really fit the bill!

My husband was seriosly injured a few years ago, and had to spend 3 months in bed. Our mattress now has a permanent “dip” where he laid for so long, even when I try to flip it, so he sleeps in the dip and I slowly work my way there, too, over the course of the night. Last year, we stayed in a hotel which had sleep number mattresses…heaven! That hotel stay convinced me that Sleep Number mattress are like no other. I recommend to everyone to check these mattresses out if you should have the opportunity to purchase a new mattress!
I’ve heard such good things about the Sleep Number beds, but hubby and I have yet to be able to take the plunge for a new bed. Given my back and his ankles, one of these would be great!

My husband is on kidney dialysis and is unable to sleep in the bed anymore, he sleeps in a recliner to be elevated do to the fluid build up around his lungs, this would be perfect for us to have and possibly get him sleeping back in the bed.

I so need this bed! I was totally disabled in 1992 and my back is broke in five places. I would make an excellent commercial for this bed…if it works. I have tried just about every type of bed there is. Right now, we have a Sealy that reclines and raises the feet and back, it vibrates also. It is not what I need. I hope I win so I can try this bed.

Sleep number bed! I don’t know how you guys manage to wrangle such awesome prizes! I have wanted one of these for years, I know people that swear by them and said they replaced their chiropracter with a sleep number. I have been saving, but with two kids and a disabled husband, this working mom is always hitting that emergency account. I would love to win this Queen-size Special Edition Sleep Number bed mostly for my back and my hubby’s back. Every morning we wake up with stiff backs and necks this would be like a dream to own this bed. I would love to see his face if I could give this to him for Christmas. I bought my bed when I was 7 months pregnant with my now 16 month old. Despite being so ‘young’ and with a 20 year warranty, Both my honey and I wake up and move like ancients in the morning! As a working mother of a toddler a good nights rest is longed for.
We really need a new bed and this one would be awesome.
I have the worst bed at least 13 years old and I have had two car accidents neither that I caused. The last accident I had my daughter and I were sitting still waiting to turn left and was rear ended by a drunk driver going 50 mph right into the back of my car. The driver had no license and no insurance and it was his 5th time drunk driving and my back hurts a lot and so does my daughters most of the time and I don’t sleep well, would love a sleep number bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could really use this 🙂 Our bed is over 10 years old. The mattress springs poke into us even through a mattress pad cover. And I have 2 ruptured discs in my back and 2 bad discs in my neck so better sleeping arrangements would be very nice. Have a great day!

So this is what happened…
We moved in August and had no room in the Uhaul for our mattress. We left it behind and have been sleeping on an air bed. Yesterday it sprung a leak and now we wake up with our hips hugging the boxspring. Could this be a sign?

I have tried these beds at a store in the mall with my partner, and they actually DO work, and it’s amazing how much the difference in number can be! My number was different than my partner’s because he often has back pain and so needed a firmer bed, while I needed a softer one – but there we had it, all in one bed, two
different numbers! It really does seem true that individuating each side would help with one’s comfort and sleep.

My best money saving tip is to look at every purchase for our household as a need or a want. Food – I need it and buy it. A DVD – I only wanted it so it went back on the shelf. The electric bill – I need electricity. The cable bill – I don’t need cable to survive so it got cancelled. You can really get back to basics and save a lot of money with this mindset.
Ooooh, with three children and another on the way, anything that gives us a little better sleep would be Heavenly!!!

Wow!! Our mattress is a hand me down from my fiance’s parents that they gave us 3 years ago when we started living together after our daughter was born. The thing is so worn out we have 3 comforters on it just so the sag in it is less noticable… not only that, but so we don’t feel the spring that is poking out!! lol, yes we desperately need a new bed!

You have the best bloggin’ giveaways! We are in desperate need of a new mattress. I often find myself on the couch because the bed hurts my back too much. I had a sleep study a few moths ago, and though having a sleep study is unpleasant–the facility was equipped with top of the line sleep number beds. I would have had the best, dreamiest sleep if I wasn’t being clocked and woken up every hour by the technicians. So, I have my fingers and toes crossed 🙂 ’cause I so want this bed!

Oh my what an answer to prayer this would be… I have a herniated disc in my back and wake everymorning feeling like someone has been beating me with a stick all night, the majority of the pain I suffer from is from my traditional mattress. We just got a gently used mattress from my husbends aunt and uncle because our was cheap and horrible on my hubby’s back. The first night in bed I was like …something smells!! Then my husbend was like I’m scared to move..I smell poo! lol. I’m sure it was just because it was in our garage for over a week but it still makes me laugh. psst..it doesn’t stink anymore but I’d love this new one instead!
