Restored to dazzle new fans with its pristine picture and sound quality, the final fairy tale to be produced by Walt Disney himself, the Sleeping Beauty Platinum Edition is a spectacular widescreen event that transports viewers to a magical kingdom.
Filled with romance, adventure and humor, the beloved animated classic’s 50th Anniversary release celebrates the exhaustive work of The Walt Disney Studios Restoration and Preservation team who have successfully mastered the meticulous processes of creating stunning technologically-advanced Hi-Def productions from classic footage created by Walt Disney and his team in the first golden age of animation.
Many treats await Disney fans, as the Sleeping Beauty release marks the first-ever Disney Classic Feature in High Definition. This is also the first Platinum Edition release in which the Blu-ray version will also include the standard DVD version of the restored film.
With the holidays around the corner and many families looking to upgrade to Blu-ray in the coming year, fans can pick up a Blu-ray edition of this Disney classic and still enjoy the fully restored film on DVD while waiting to upgrade to spectacular 1080p Hi-def Blu-ray and experience the exciting BD-Live Network.

In my daughter’s neverending quest to watch every Disney movie about princesses ever made, this is one she hasn’t seen yet! We really need it!
Sleeping Beauty is another of our favorite Disney movies. We have it in VHS format from the initial release many, many years ago. Having it in DVD format would be awesome!
My 2 granddaughters would love to see this movie at Grammy’s house.

This was the 1st movie I ever took my daughter to when she was 2. I’d love to watch it with her again & with my grandchildren!
This was my FAVORITE disney movie as a kid. I made a model of myself as Aurora out of cardboard wrapping paper tubes and my mom’s clothing as a kid.

When my daughter Erica was little, she saw this video at a friends house. Of course, it wasn’t released anywhere. My mom found my old Sleeping Beauty ‘cut out’ paper dolls, we bought the Sleeping Beauty Barbie, but all Erica ever wanted was this movie! And now it has been released. She still wants it, even though now she is in college. What a sweet surprise this would be.

Oh that’s awesome you have copies to give away! Of all of the original Disney’s this one was my absolute favorite! So much so that I watched our VHS copy to the point of it will only play the BOTTOM HALF of the screen, HA! I was so excited when I heard they released it!
