I just cleaned my carpet.
In the middle of a busy Sunday afternoon.
With my toddler and my six year old home.
Yes, it was the easiest, fastest carpet cleaning experience you could imagine. I actually had fun!
I have never cleaned our carpets myself. I have walked past the big rental machines in the supermarket and thought about renting one. But instead I call in the professionals every six months or so and pay a huge bill. Not fun.
So, when Bissell asked us to try out their new BISSELL® PROdryâ„¢ deep cleaner, designed to clean and dry carpets FAST for busy families, I jumped on it. Cleans and dries fast, and I can do it myself — sounds like a perfect carpet cleaning solution!
And the BISSELL® PROdryâ„¢ didn’t disappoint!
Assembling the unit was super easy, reading the manual took minutes, and I was ready to clean!
This deep cleaner, which is ideal for cleaning and revitalizing carpet and area rugs, also features tools for cleaning up stairs, spots and tough stains.
For stain removal, the PROdry 7350 comes with a special cleaning solution and tool, OxyGen 2 PowerTool.
So before we cleaned the carpets, Jackson helped me with spot treatment, using the OxyGen 2 PowerTool.
It worked really well, getting out most of the stains. Unfortunately, because our carpets are ten years old with grayish tinged high traffic areas, it worked a little too well and now I have super clean spots showing the color the carpet used to be! Now I will have to “spot treat” larger areas to get my carpet to match!
Because the PROdry is specifically designed to only use a limited amount of water and cleaning solution to clean, your carpets don’t get saturated with water and are dry enough to use in 30 minutes.
And, if you have hard wood floors with area rugs, you can safely clean the rugs without moving them since the water won’t soak through the rug and damage the floor beneath them.
After I had finished cleaning our carpet and had put away the machine, (clean up of the machine is super quick too,) Jackson spilled a bowl of milk and cheerios all over the area rug under our kitchen table.
I just went and grabbed the PROdry, added the hot water and solution and quickly cleaned that part of the rug. It was dry before the kids even finished their snack!

This would be great for my sister. She fosters dogs for a shelter. Generally, she has between 5-7 dogs at her house. Most are strays or pound dogs, so she has lots of ‘accidents’ in house breaking them before they are adopted. The cleaner she has is a Bissell that she has replaced the parts many times over the years.

We have blue carpet, two cats and one indoor dog and one very large dog that doesnt yet realize she needs to stay outside,and teenagers. Before my wife and I moved into this place, the landlord told us we would have to clean it, but he wasn’t going to pay for the expenses. After the former tenant was gone, with cleaning supplies in hand, we showed up a day before we expected to move in.
To our horror, the former tenant left the place in a completely horrid state. There were months of cat and dog feces ground into the carpet, but the landlord would not allow us to remove the carpet. We ended up renting a steam cleaner from the local drugstore.
I spent six hours steam cleaning carpet in three rooms. We aren’t talking giant rooms that Bill Gates would be proud to have. These were small rooms from 9′ x 11′ to 10′ x 14′. The carpet was so bad that it was a completely different color by the time I was finished.
Nothing, short of replacement, will ever make the carpet in this place look good, but it sure does look better than it did. A few strategically placed rugs did make the look a bit less embarrassing. We are hoping one day that we can afford to purchase a steam cleaner. Winning one would be very nice.

Wow…what a great giveaway. I also clean my carpets myself. I usually borrow my grandma’s steam cleaner, but lets face it…my grandma is 87 years old and I think it is almost as old as her. It still works good on flat floors, but the steps are the area in my house that get a lot of traffic and the step attachment no longer works. This would be a great replacement and then I could just use mine to clean my grandma’s carpets for her.

I just gave birth to #3 this past Thursday. My 2 others are 2 & 4 yrs old. We have a good amount of spills on the carpet. I usually get down on my hands and knees and scrub the carpet once or twice a year. We did have a professional carpet cleaner come at one point, but they did a crappy job. So I took on the job of “carpet cleaner”.

With two dogs in the house, carpet cleaning is a necessary chore. Bought two of the ‘other major competing brand’ only to have them both break during the first use. Since they all have the same brush technology ( don’t want to mention by it’s name as it would be a dead giveaway to the brand), I have no confidence in buying yet another- and I did not buy the less expensive models either. Would love to win the Bissell- reviews I have read ( after the other products were returned) find it superior to the ‘other manufacturer products’.
Oh, how I need one of these! My mom got me one of those spot cleaners for christmas one year and you have to charge it forever just to get 15 minutes of use. So I continuouslly borrow my mother in law’s large barrel floor cleaner.

Sounds like an amazing little machine. Those things you rent at the Home Depot do a good job, but they are so stinking heavy that I am worn out by the time I have cleaned all the carpet. That sounds FANTASTIC. When I was a kid my dad used to wash our carpets with one of those huge machines from the 70s.. and we had to move all the furniture out to backyard. My sister and I would make little hobo villages out of the couch pillows. It would take hours before we could drag the furniture back in, and then we had these giant fans that kept us awake all night long.. and STILL the carpet would be damp in the morning. Yay technology!

Oh heck yeah, do I ever need this machine!! I have three young children – 5, 3, and an almost-walking baby. Our carpets suffer from their constant spills (and leaks, and accidents) *regularly*. I can’t even tell you how nice it would be to have something like this, so I could clean all the carpets myself, instead of leaving the house for a day, rearranging furniture for workers, and all that sort of stuff. I moved into an apartment from my home because of a job relocation. You know those landlords they just clean the carpet and a few days after moving in the previous spots start working there way back up and then the carpets look crappy again just as it probably looked before the landlord cleaned it. This is such a great prize. I too am one of those people that rented a shampooer every 3 months. I usually had to do it on Tuesday afternoon due to it was rented all weekend. I need this! I had a Hoover Steam Vac and it broke down on me. With two dogs, two cats a three-year-old boy and a baby on the way the carpets and furniture need steaming all the time at my house.
Oh my goodness! This sounds amazing. Our poor carpet is in desperate need of some deep cleaning. Just the other day I walked into my son’s room to pick up. He spilled some unidentifiable liquid on the carpet and threw a towel over it. It took me almost an hour of scrubbing to get that stain up and now the carpet looks strange because that one area is the only area clean now!

WoW Talk about timing! Just this weekend we shapooed our carpet with our old shampooer, you can’t even tell we did it, except thart the carpets still wet! This would be great to win, our old one is heavy as a dinosuar, and doesn’t even really work!

As a military family, we move an awful lot, and I just hate having to pay a service to come out and clean the carpets for us. (Last time, we ended up having to rent a machine and do it over!) This would be a super fantastic help!
This looks like a great carpet cleaner! We need a new one – we lent ours out and when we got it back it no longer held water, it would just run out the bottom 🙁

I thought when I sent the last of my four off to college my days of hard cleaning were over and it was, no more stained carpets, no more socks that looked black but were originally white, no more odd smells coming out of the clothes hamper. Life seemed so much easier but I had not contemplated life’s next test, grandbabies. Now that I have 4 of those I need the Bissell PRO Dry more than ever. Guess it just goes to prove that indeed what goes around comes around.

After 4.5 years of living in military housing I purchased a home this past week. A fully carpeted home, included the dining room.
