My two-year-old loves to parade around the house with his toothbrush in hand, brushing away at his teeth. Great item – my son is exactly the same – some days very happily brushes them but others outright and stubbornly refuses.
The website for these tissues says tooth decay for kids is on the rise. I know they would be for my child if he lived closer to his mother in law. She adores her grandkids but gives them all kinds of sugary snacks she’s adamantly sure is “real food” as opposed to nursing milk many parents give babies primarily up to a year. Sugar cereals, french toast sticks. She doesn’t bother too much with teeth because she says they’re only temporary anyway. Meanwhile, our last visit, one of my neices had about four rotten teeth removed – ouch I’m sure.

Hi guys! Although I think that dental care is very important, I do not think that these tissues are a solution. They are not “green” at all, making them very wasteful. You can get compact toothbrushes with cases to pop in your purse for on-the-go cleaning. I use Summer brand finger toothbrush. It’s a silicone brush you stick on your finger (if you’re going to put your finger in your son’s mouth, might as well use something you can clean over and over!) It comes with a handy little case. Try it out! 🙂

This would be a great way to break Li’l Empress in to the idea and practice of dental hygiene. Apparently, it wasn’t a huge priority in the foster home she came from . . . and I’m not wanting a battle now every time I get a whiff of her formula breath!!!!
