This Is One Of Those Times

Every once in awhile you come across a news story that moves you to tears….happy tears! This is one of those times.

Earlier today, a friend of mine on Facebook posted a link to a video about Jason McElwain, a high school student with autism who proudly and enthusiastically managed his high school’s basketball team.

On one particular game night, the basketball coach decided to relieve Jason of his managerial duties and let him suit up and play.

What happened that night was incredible. Watch the video below to meet Jason and swell with pride along with his team, coach and spectators.

So inspiring. I always appreciate stories where the “underdog” comes out on top.

  2. Oh God Bless him. The Lord can and will use anyone of us for His purpose. No matter who we are, where we have been, or how different we might be. I am a firm believer that the Lord makes no junk and this young man is pure proof of that. Thanks for sharing. : )

  8. 🙂 I don’t care that it’s a couple of years old. I found out yesterday that my 10 day old sweet, beautiful newborn baby has downs syndrome, and this makes me happy… hopeful… and well, i’m crying, but it’s not bad tears.

Thank you for posting it. 🙂 Thank you.
