This week we are welcoming Courtney from her blog, Sister to Sister and You can Make this, her online shop. Even though Courtney is a talented seamstress and designer, she considers her most important jobs in the world to be: a wife and a mother to three precious girls. Not to mention, those little gals are ages 3 and under! Everything she does stems from that.
Courtney is also a designer and some of her patterns can be found here. She loves to sew and is a self proclaimed fabric-holic. She uses her blog as a way to enrich her life and the lives of those around her.
Designing Patterns
I have been working on a sewing pattern for awhile now for 3 different blankets for babies, affectionately called “lovies”.
I have completed two of them (a Penguin and a Panda), but I am stuck on the third, maybe you can help me with this: I have also had trouble with a “name†or “theme†for these Black and White Friends and would LOVE your help!
Some of you (like myself not too long ago!) may not understand just how much is involved in writing an ePattern.
- Designing (drawing) the actual pattern.
- Scanning the pattern onto the PC.
- Testing the Pattern.
- Taking step by step pictures.
- Editing and resizing all the pictures.
- Writing the instructions.
- Designing a Cover Page. (Still need to finish this!)
- Finally, putting it all together in a PDF file.

Cute polar bear! A friend made a teddy bear cake for our baby shower yesterday, which was my tackle this week.
