Praying to the One in Charge…

Pray for President-Elect ObamaThere are so many differing opinions. So many hopes and fears.

But there is one God and we can come to Him in prayer. We can pray to the One who is truly in charge.

Despite our political beliefs (or even our citizenship — Susan and I are Canadians!) we can be united in the family of Christ.

Thanks to Mrs. Naz at Becoming Me where I saw this great prayer campaign by Max Lucado.

I have been praying for Obama for some time now, and my resolve to do so was strengthened when my grandfather (a Republican like myself) said at Thanksgiving, “I hear some people saying they hope Obama screws things up so bad that we never have another Democrat in the White House again. I don’t hope that. I hope he does a great job.”

I was really impressed to see our fellow Canadians so tuned in to the U.S. affairs right now. Yes, we are praying; he has his work cut out for him.
