Peter Carnegie’s Children’s Books

Jenny, 5 Minutes for Mom contributor, shares a look into Peter Carnegie’s children’s books. This giveaway post is sponsored, but all opinions remain those of the writer.

Books are my daughter’s love language.  In fact, “book” was her first word. As a result I am constantly looking for new books to entertain her and to engage her mind.

Peter Carnegie Childrens Books

Peter Carnegie’s beautifully illustrated stories were perfect for my avid reader. The simple, yet interesting plots caught her attention. She recited the repetitious parts. The illustrations caught her imagination and she spent hours looking at the pictures and describing what she saw.

These books combine humor, heartfelt stories, rhyme, and imaginative illustrations. The stories are perfect for a variety of ages!

You can order your own copies on Amazon.

I Love You Like A Monkey is a fun book of animals and their favorite things.  It describes how much a person can love another person with comparisons that children can understand.

Malcolm McDinkelstorm Fedderman Stitch has a lot of fun, some silly names, great examples of imaginative play, and catchy rhymes to entertain your reader.

I love how these books not only tell great stories but also inspire imagination and encourage memorization! My daughter was reciting lines from “I Love You Like a Monkey” just days after receiving her book and it quickly became a favorite!

I think it’s the cutest thing ever when I find our 11 year old son reading to his two little sisters.. they badger him into it at least a few times a week 😉 And we have family reading time every night for at least 30 minutes.. the 3 kids alternate picking books for us to read together.

  54. I believed in this article as I am a parent with 3 lovely daughters. Tablet games are not bad they can learn from it and since you can sometimes install an app to limit and control their playing time such as Screen-time Ninja. In this app you can limit what time they can start playing if their time credit expires and they still want to earn more playing time they have to solve a math problem to gain extra playing time. Its great huh? Yeah I am using this app and I find it useful and helpful for me as I am a busy mom who has a day job and I can’t monitor them every hour. 🙂
