I love staying in touch with friends and family through email. I admit that I am awful about writing real pen-to-paper thank you notes or jotting a note of appreciation or encouragement when I know it would brighten a friend’s day.
There’s still something extra-special about receiving a real card in the mail. Having some cute personalized notecards has given me extra incentive to act on those urges. Courtney at Come Together Cards, made these cute personalized cards just for me. I sent her a picture of my family, and this is what she came up with.
What’s great about this mom-owned company is that she really wants her cards to make a difference in people’s relationships. These cards are so humerous and uplifting. I smiled as I was looking at them. You know, people forget that even as adults we still have an inner child in us. There is something about cartoon drawings and/or characters, full of color and life, that makes these cards so much more different and unique from the main cards you see in the stores. In these times, we need some humor in our lives, even when we are going through trials and tribulations! I would take some of the graduation cards to the schools for those parents who may not have the money to buy their hard working students anything to let them know they appreciate them! A picture (card) is worth a thousand words. This line is awesome!

Those are just *adorable* notecards! I really feel like letter writing is a lost art. My grandmother (who passed away in October 2002) *loved* to write letters, and I think that I must have gotten that from her. I *love* to send and receive snail mail. Sure, I’m addicted to being online ~ but there’s just something magical about sitting down to write a letter. I think that it REALLY connects you to the person who you’re writing.
