As a mom of three little ones, I don’t get out to the movies often, and when I do, it is usually for family films. I truly enjoy taking my daughter out to the movies, and can easily spend the entire time just watching her as she takes it all in. She always looks so darling, sitting all propped up in her booster seat, with a giant tub of popcorn on her lap and a huge smile on her face.
The first movie experience she had was at the age of 13 months, when I took her to see The Polar Express in IMAX 3D. It must have struck a chord with her, because to this day, her favorite way to enjoy a movie is at our nearby IMAX.
On May 22nd, the highly anticipated Night at the Museum: Battle of the Simthsonian: The IMAX Experience opens, and we have one spectacular giveaway that will make sure that you and your family are there to see it, feel it and live it!
It’s a new “Night†and “Museum†for Ben Stiller, who is joined by several other stars from the original film, as well as new characters from history—including Amy Adams as famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart, Hank Azaria as villainous Egyptian pharaoh Kahmunrah, Christopher Guest as Russian tyrant Ivan the Terrible and Alain Chabat as Napoleon.
Owen Wilson is back as cowboy Jedediah, and Robin Williams again rides into history as Teddy Roosevelt.
The centerpiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world’s largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart flew on her nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone’s rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy’s ruby red slippers and Archie Bunker’s lounge chair. No major film has ever shot inside the Smithsonian in Washington…until Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian has been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience through IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. With crystal clear, larger than life images and state-of-the-art digital surround sound, IMAX creates an environment that puts audiences in the movie.

My son got promoted from 7th grade to 9th grade so that means I now have 2 in band and marching band, well every 4 years they get to go out of state to attend a band function. We live in florida and they have decided the band is going to washington d.c this fall, so now instead of raising money for 1 child its now 2.

The first one was so good that I can’t wait to see the second movie. Plus, my kids are always harassing/teasing me about the fact that I’ve never been to the Smithsonian. All the school kids here go on day trips, but I wasn’t born or raised around here, so I’ve never had the chance.
