I have so many great memories of traveling when I was a kid and so many of those memories come from the road trips we would take with my grandparents. No matter where our trip was taking us, one thing always seemed to remain the same — our stops at Cracker Barrel!
My grandparents firmly believed that “getting there” was half the fun and fast-food meals were not an option. Therefore, we always stopped for a sit-down breakfast and dinner (lunch was packed sandwiches). Most often, those sit-down meals took place at Cracker Barrel.
My siblings and I never seemed to mind those stops at Cracker Barrel because, besides the yummy food, we knew that, as our grandparents took FOR-EV-ER to drink their coffee, we would get to rock in the rocking chairs outside and look through the Old Country Store. And, if we were extra good, we would get to buy a piece of rock candy or one of those humungous jaw breakers from the Old Country Store!
Apparently I’m not the only one who loves Cracker Barrel. Recently country music star, Craig Morgan, released his newest CD, That’s Why Collector’s Edition, exclusively at Cracker Barrel! He even includes Cracker Barrel in his song “Lookin’ Back With You“!!!

I love Cracker Barrel. We don’t have one super close so it is a treat to get to go there. They have the most delicious salads that are so big I can eat them for 2 meals!

We don’t have a Cracker Barrel locally so when we have to head over to Asheville or if we go to Pigeon Forge for the weekend we know without a doubt one of the first places we are going to eat is Cracker Barrel. My daughter is a breakfast person and she loves the fact that no matter what time of day it is she can still have breakfast. I believe my favorite time of year to go to Cracker Barrel is when they are decorated for Christmas. Loads of my Christmas decorations came from Cracker Barrel and I continue to add to them every year. I love the wooden ornaments. AND their Chicken Pot Pie is to die for!

I remember as a young girl, we’d drive from Ohio to Georgia at least twice a year. Daddy loved Cracker Barrel, and we stopped at every single Cracker Barrel on the way down and back – it didn’t matter if we had just stopped half an hour before. To this day, Cracker Barrel is one of my absolute favorite restaurants, and even though I have to drive more than an hour to get to the closest one, it’s well worth it!
