I do need to get my glow back! I have 3 children, my youngest of which is 5 months old. Throughout my last pregnancy I felt my face did glow, I had great color and my skintone was very even and I looked my age, which is 29. But after I gave birth it is as if all the hydration just left my skin! Perhaps I am the only one that is consciously aware of it, but I just think my skin look dull and lifeless and I want to get it back to the way it was before. I need to get my glow back because although I started out as a free spirit and an artist/writer/journalist, life has thrown me a few loops – the untimely deaths of three best friends and the death of first my father and then my mother, and I either aided in the caregiving or WAS the caregiver for these people whom I loved so much. A long stint at a low-paying TV job while all of this was happening didn’t help either (although it did afford me the time to help them). I know that I and my poetry and artwork are still in me there somewhere, and I’m making great efforts to coax them back, but we all need a little help sometimes, especially as our bodies refuse to continue to be who we once were at 18!

You know how they say pregnant women glow? I am 35 weeks pregnant and pretty sure I have been one of the only pregnant women that didn’t glow. It has been a very difficult and scary pregnancy and thank god my baby boy is almost here or I might have turned black & white from stress! I want to get my glow back so I can once again feel like a beautiful woman while I am holding my sweet beaustiful baby boy i worked so hard to have!
