Dapper Snappers to the Rescue

My 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son are SKINNY!!! I have problems keeping jeans up on both of them. Surprisingly, even the adjustable waist jeans don’t solve the problem of their droopy drawers. Belts are helpful, but make it more difficult for my 4-year-old to use the bathroom.

Now that my daughter is getting older, I am really bothered when the sag in her jeans reveals skin and underwear. The poor thing, I am constantly telling her to pull up her pants.Dapper1

Thanks to another mom who had the same dilemma with her children, I now have a solution for my children’s droopy drawers.

With two simple snaps, the Dapper Snapper tightens pants and shorts and keeps them in place. Since it is only placed on the backside, trips to the bathroom are a breeze. The pants easily slide off and on, without having to unsnap or remove the Dapper Snapper.

I tested this ingenious product on both of my children, even placing the Dapper Snapper on the pairs of adjustable jeans that weren’t doing their jobs. The Dapper Snapper worked!!! Their jeans stayed-put, potty trips were easy breezy and I think that both children forgot that they even had it on. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

Dapper Snappers really are simple. But in case you are still a little stumped as to how they work, here is a short demonstration:

Dapper Snappers
come in a variety of colors. They can be purchased individually or in packs of three.

Lucky for you, we have two 3-packs to give away. If you have been struggling with the toddler saggy jeans syndrome in your home, this is definitely the product for you.

  76. Brandy Holzapfel says:

This is awesome…my daughter ALWAYS has oroblems with bottoms being to loose!! Such a great item!

  77. Oh heavens, I NEED this product. My almost-5-year-old daughter (has had the sagging pants problem since she was a year old, and even the adjustable pants don’t change things at all, aside from making bathroom trips more awkward. She’s tall enough for size 6 clothes, but skinny enough to fit 2-year-old waistbands. During this summer, she’s been wearing size 3 and 4 pants easily. Unfortunately, cooler weather means dealing with this problem all over again in order to have the right length on her pants. I’ve considered finding suspenders, but really… suspenders, in this day and age, on a girl?? I’d love to try this out, really truly. Thanks for the giveaway!

  78. My 18 month old daughter is in the 80th percentile for length, but 5th (or less) for weight. Thank goodness for summer. She could wear 6 and 9 month shorts, and it didn’t matter that they were so short on her. But long pants are going to pose a problem. This looks like a fantastic solution!

  79. marybeth i says:

great idea! My girls are slim also

  80. These are such a great idea. Thanks for the chance to win!

  81. Katharine says:

Another skinny kid in need of some pants-help…

  90. Hillary Vande Kieft says:

My 4 and 3 yr. old sons wear the same size clothes, but they fall of the older one who has no bottom!! These would be so much easier than belts for the little guy!

  91. these are a great idea!

  92. This would be perfect for my kids who are both 99% for height and 20% for weight!

  93. Oh my these would be wonderful. My son is tall and skinny so he sometimes wears pants that are for kids younger just so the waist will fit. Thanks for the giveaway

  98. Susan M. Heim says:

I wish they’d had this product when I was a kid! I still remember those uncomfortable “darts” my mom would sew in my jeans. They were always poking me in the side. Ouch! Now I’ve got a skinny four-year-old who’s always pulling up his saggy pants! I’d love to give these a try on him.

  99. I have one daughter who is super skinny and one who fits clothes just right. I hate having my oldests pants falling down all the time. This would help out so much.

  100. What a great idea! My daughter is long and skinny (I’m not sure where she got that from) and her pants are too loose if I get them long enough or too short if I get them so that the waist fits. These would be just the thing to keep her from drooping. Thanks for the giveaway!

  101. TheAngelForever says:

How funny that I was wondering how to help my little guy. Since he is walking now and grew his pants do not stay up. This looks like the perfect solution. Thanks for the giveaway!

I have a 5 yr. old new kindergartener who has always been tiny for his age. Bless his heart, he is always saying “I am getting bigger mama” He can wear 2T in the waist but obviously that just don’t cut it for the length, so he has to constantly pull up his “britches” (as he says it) even with a belt!! We could desperately use some Dapper Snappers around here, so my little, big boy can at least feel like he’s filling out those big boy pants!!

  108. Jennifer Stewart says:

  109. my skinny little girl could use this, she is over 75% for height and below 20% for weight. Even the adjustable pants are too loose

  110. What a great idea! Especially now that my little one isn’t in diapers – there’s nothing to hold up his drawers anymore!

  111. WOW! I need those for my 7 yr old son. I have always had problems getting pants for him. They were either perfect in the waste but too short, or loose in the waste and the length was perfect. He is a skinny little thing and we have been buying him slim jeans with the built in belt.

Recently though he has been wanting to wear a regular belt because the built in belts were bugging him. But regular belts are aggravating.

I am so going to have to try those…Thanks for sharing!

  112. Great idea! With these, my skinny little guy will actually fit into the winter clothes I got at the end of last season.

  113. I would love to win! Both of my boys have skinny waists and I am constantly struggling with belts or rolling the waists – Dapper Snappers look like a Godsend!

  118. Tonya Froemel says:

very cool love to win this

  119. I’d love to win! This would come in handy for my skinny long legged little boy.

  120. Jolanthe Erb says:

These would be ever-so-lovely for my skinny, no-bum kiddos!

  121. Oh my goodness, this is the plague of my life, the baggy pants. My kids can’t keep them on. I need this. Even if I don’t win I am likely to buy some.

  122. what a great product. My 3 year old son always loses his pants while running!

  123. These look awesome! I’m afraid to put some of my sons pants on him, because I know they are going to be too big and he has just started walking. The poor little guy would be falling even more.

  124. I definitely need these for my tiny heinie daughter, The Bean! I’m forever trying to find adjustable waist pants or a way to keep hers up!

  125. Wow, this looks handy. Very useful for kids. 🙂

  126. This would probably work for both my daughter and my son. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  127. OMG! I having been having this problem with my son ever since he started walking. Well probably before but I didn’t notice it as much. I have a 3 year old boy that can still fit in to 12 month bottoms. The only thing with 12 month bottoms is that they are about 6 inches to short. Need less to say my son spends most of the day at home in just his underwear because all of his pants pretty much fall off. Now that he will be starting Sunday School I am so happy to have found something that will help keep his clothes on. Thank you for considering me.

  128. susan varney says:

my husband said just send it don’t bend it

  129. These look very handy. I’d love to have a pack for my skinny niece.

  130. Donna Kay says:

Oh my GOSH! I need these!! My son will be 3 in November and wears 18 month shorts so they will stay up. A couple of pair of those still sag! I was completely dreading Fall. Luckily, living in South GA, we don’t have to wear blue jeans and long pants too much. He is able to wear shorts from April-October!
    Thanks for highlighting this product!!!

  131. That’s a great idea. My daughters jeans are usually either too short with the right waist or the right length but saggy. And her former daycare had a rule about belts (none so they could help themselves in the bathroom). I wish we had these then.

  132. That’s so clever! I would love to try these out. 🙂

  133. Love it…need it!

Check out my blog and the “Beach Bums” post to see why! Thanks 🙂

  134. Might as well give it a try. I have a skinny minnie who quite often looks like a plumber in training.

  136. Great idea! We would love to try these!

  137. OMG I so need some of these. My nearly 2 year old little boy has a big problem keeping his pants on. He’s so funny running around the playground holding them up and at home he just takes them off.

  138. My daughter is always losing her pants and her little hiney shows. I would love to win this new product.

  139. Wow! These would be great for my niece. I will have to tell my SIL about them. Thanks!

Seriously, these would be awesome for us! Pick me, pick me. =)

  146. what a great invention!

  147. Stephanie V says:

would love to try on my little boy!

  148. I have a SKINNY yet tall child and have to buy the size according to his height not his waist … his belt sometimes doesn’t even hold them up!

  149. Angela at mommy bytes says:

  161. Jennifer Mowers says:

    My daughter could use this!!

  162. This would be perfect for my little guy!

  163. Oh my goodness, do I ever need this for my little boy! He’s totally lacking in the butt department and his pants never stay up! He’s almost 4 and still wearing 18-month shorts! Pants are another story–he has long legs so I have to buy at least 2T or 3T pants–but there’s no way those stay up on his skinny waist. Adjustable waist sometimes helps, but not always, and belts are too tricky. What a great idea!

  164. That is ingenious. Why didn’t I think of that?

  165. Michelle Rosborough says:

    cool idea

  166. Alyssa Sparks says:

Yes, I need this for the little girl who went out the door this morning pulling her capris up in the back.

  167. That is ingenious!! All 6 of my kids are constantly pulling up their pants.

  168. Are my odds better because you’re drawing the winners on my birthday? Just kidding.

  169. Hooray for creative inventors. I definitely have skinny kiddos and would love to use this product.

  170. Perfect! This is just what my son needs! I am so excited to have come across this product. Thanks!

  171. I would love to try these out. My 11 month old is always having the droopy drawer problem and since he is tall and skinny this will likely be something we struggle with for a while. Today is my first time on your site but I already like what I see . . . enter me in the contest please!!

  172. Great idea!!! My son could REALLY use some of these!

  173. Erin(adymommy) says:

this is awesome! My daughter’s pants were always falling down when she was little. Now she is 5 and we still have some saggy pants but wear belts. I think both my son and daughter could use these. What a neat idea!

  174. Oh, this is something I really really need! My boys got the no-butt genes from their father and it is impossible to get pants to stay up on them.

  175. Doll Clothes Gal says:

Great idea – simple and effective.

  176. My son could definitely use these- he’s always saying “Mommy, pants FALL DOWN!” 🙂

  177. I’m so happy to see someone create a solution to this problem that doesn’t require sewing on my part! This would definitely make my little one’s pant problems much easier.

  178. What an awesome invention!! Please enter me!!

  179. What a great idea! I too have 2 skinny minnies with no butt! These would work out great!

  180. My nephew Needs these desperately. What a cool idea!

  181. Daphne (One Mom In Alabama) says:

this would be a dream come true for my 2 kids, ages 6 & 3. They are both soooo skinny, but have super long legs so we have to buy bigger sizes. They both hate that their pants are always falling off or drooping! My 3 year old daughter is under the weight scale at only 24 pounds, but she is in 95th percentile in height, can you imagine? My 6 year old son is small too, at only 45 pounds. Please enter us in the giveaway!!

  182. Leave it to a mom to come up with such a great idea. My 2 1/2 year old daughter needs 24 month pants for length, but can still fit in her 6-9 month shorts. She’s got a teeny waist and no butt. I’ll definitely be getting some of these.

  183. What a great idea! my toddler needs these as his pants are never where they should be and if he is wearing a shirt and shorts you always see his diaper… I can’t imagine what it will be like when he has on big boy underwear!

  184. What a great idea! My tall, skinny toddler has this problem too!!

  185. This would really help!! What a great idea!

  186. i’d love to win this! I’m forever having to roll my daughter’s waistband, or risk having her pants fall down! She seldom wears jeans, because the ones that fit her around the waist are too short!!

  187. Oh how clever!! They need to make these for grown-ups too! My husband has no hips or behind to hold up his pants and belts/suspenders just don’t work for him!

We have major droopy drawers in this house! My daughter (5) needs a 6/6x for the length, but she wears a 3T/4T waist!! And my son (2) suffers the same problem as his daddy!

    Please enter me for these!!

  188. I would love to win these for my 3 year old granddaughter. Such a great idea.

  189. What a great idea! I gave up on pulling up pants and we switched to just purchasing overalls or shortalls for the most part.

  190. Oh my gosh. My daughter is the exact same way. She needs the length for her legs but then nothing stays up on her waist. I love this!!! Thank you.

  191. I so need these! I have two boys that could use these to keep their pants up. Please pick me! :o)

  192. Junglewife says:

I have been pinning or sewing my 2 1/2 year old’s pants since she was a baby. Now my 6 month old is having the same problem. These would be WONDERFUL!!!

great idea- my kids need these

  194. Great idea! Count me in 🙂

  195. I NEED this so badly!! I’ll be buying some if I don’t win!

  196. OMG! I so need this! My 2 year old is 3t long but only 18 month around! He’s always got hip hop pants going on, drooping down showing off his fashionable Pooh Bear butt 🙂

  197. Very practical, and very clever!

  198. Like Rebecca I have a tall, skinny daughter (most people think she’s 5 when she’s only 3 1/2) and her pants, shorts, and skirts are always falling down. I’ve tried belts but they make potty trips hard. This would be so nice to have.

  199. Rebecca C says:

My daughter is also very skinny, but long legged so her pants never stay up! I would love to win one of these so I can stop yanking her pants up!

I have an almost 7 year old that is super paranoid about losing her pants. I think having these in the right color for her would be wonderful!
