• Be a part of Team James & Jake in the March of Dimes March for Babies Walk. Last year, Team James & Jake raised over $10,000. This year, the walk will take place on April 26th and hopes to reach a team goal of $5,000. The March for Babies is a national fundraiser that raises money to support programs in your community that helps moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. March for Babies also funds research to find answers to the serious problems that can threaten our babies. You can help honor and remember these boys by making a donation here. If you live in the area, you can also sign up to join the team.
• Celebrate the wonder of reading with 2009 Read with Kids Challenge, sponsored by Reading is Fundamental and US Airways. This year, the Challenge aims to collectively log 5 million minutes spent reading with children from April 1-June 30. CONTESTS & SWEEPSTAKES

• Enter the first annual Super CityMommy contest by nominating a “Super CityMommy” in the Bay Area. Spotlight a special mom by writing in 500 words or less something about her that you think is amazing. Email your submissions to Julie@citymommy.com by May 6th. Nominations will be posted as they come in on CityMommy every day. A mom commitee will select the top three winners, and the winner will be announced at a special luncheon on May 11th. Prizes for the winner will be detailed on the website over the next five weeks.
• Church Hill Classics is currently running a $1000 scholarship contest for high school seniors. Five scholarships will be awarded and one student will also receive a matching $1,000 donation for their college or university. Over 3,300 entries have been submitted and now you have the opportunity to vote for your favorite. The contest voting will be held April 15th – May 15th at www.framemyfuture.com
