The times may have changed, but one thing has stayed the same… As parents, we want our children to succeed in school.
You may want to buy your teen a tablet, so he/she…
- Takes better notes during class.
- Doesn’t hurt his/her back lugging around a heavy laptop.
- Doesn’t borrow yours.

Fortunately, the prices of tablets are quite reasonable these days.
Check out the Microsoft Connected Campus Surface at Walmart.
I am blown away by the Surface Pro 3!
It’s a tablet that can actually replace a laptop. It has a thin sleek frame and is super light weight… just 0.36 inches thin and 1.76 pounds. You don’t have to worry about finding an outlet, as it has nine hours of web-browsing battery life. I love that it has a back 1080p Full HD webcam and front 5MP webcam with microphones.
It comes with Windows 8.1 Pro, One Note MX and other tools. You can install Office and be completely productive on this lightweight, versatile tablet.
I cannot get over the connected pen that lets you take handwritten notes!

I started to say a tablet is cheaper than a laptop, but this is no longer true. It may be lighter, but the best reason to buy one for kids is….so they leave yours alone!!
