Sometimes, all you have is five minutes! 😉
But when it comes to capturing a great portrait, five minutes can still get the job done!
Last month when I was at Blogworld in New York, my friend Jared Polin, aka Fro Knows Photo, was kind enough to sneak away from his official Blogworld photographer duties and quickly shoot some portraits for me.
The conditions were hardly ideal — it was the middle of the day, with a harsh sun, in a parking lot! But Jared made it work and in less than five minutes, I had some great new headshots! Thanks Jared!
Over at FroKnowsPhoto.com, Jared posted a video about our 5 Minute Portrait Session along with 5 Tips for Better Portraits. As with all of his content, Jared offers some great information that will definitely help you out wherever you are in your photography journey. (I learn a ton from Jared!)
I hope you find his tips and video helpful too!
Once again, thanks for the great images Jared — I really appreciate it!
You can find Jared at FroKnowsPhoto.com and see more of his incredible work on his Flickr account Flickr.com/jaredpolin.

Oh gosh I remember watching a ton of his videos a few months back trying to learn some basics of my Nikon and actually started shooting manual because of him.
Those are fabulous pictures!
