Talking face to face moves your friendship forward faster than any amount of typing.
Meeting new blogging friends and strengthening online friendships is why we all love going to conferences, tweetups and blogging events.
But we all know airplane tickets, hotel stays and conference fees cost some serious cash.
So what is a blogging mama to do? Simple. Turn on your webcam and start talking.
We created our video conversation site Say It Face to Face to help all us bring the fun of hanging out with our blogging buddies into our own living rooms. So we were excited when we discovered that EightyMPHMom was also helping moms connect through video.
Monday Mingle is a weekly vlogging carnival hosted at EightyMPHMom and is a great way to get some mingle time in with new and old blogging friends. Each week there are a set of three questions and you simply record a video response, add it to your blog (and/or you can also add your response to a conversation thread at Say It Face To Face.)
This week’s questions really got me thinking… and my video reply was longer than usual… LOL
This week’s questions (submitted by Colette from Jamerican Spice) were:
1. Would you accept an invitation to do a survivor show? What would you hate most about being on the show?
2. When/how did you learn to ride a bicycle?
3. What do you want to have accomplished (personally) in your lifetime?
The bike I mention in the video is one of the Balance Bikes that we sell at our Pedal Cars and Retro Collectibles stores.
And in case you missed it before, we’re having a contest with cash prizes.
1st Prize – $150 – User who starts the conversation that receives the most video responses.
2nd Prize – $100 – User who adds the largest total number of conversation starters and replies.
3rd Prize – $50 – Random user who adds a reply or starts a conversation in the month of January.
So pull out your video camera or turn on your webcam, start mingling with Monday Mingle and join some great conversations at Say It Face To Face.
Talk soon,
Susan

I know I’m totally late 🙂 but I usually come around 🙂
Eee you are starved on the show too? I have not watched the show before but a couple came to our church and we had an interesting discussion about them being on it, hence my question.
I still would accept the challenge. 🙂
That’s fun memory ..well fun for me to hear , about your bicycle memory.
I wonder how my kids will do.
Your accomplishment is perfect. It is what we all desire and try to do deep down.
There’s no experience to being a mom love. We are learning as we are teaching and journeying together with our children 🙂
You are a wonderful mom.
It was nice to see you again
Have a lovely weekend!

I loved your mingle! I am sorry it took me so long to get over here 🙂
I don’t do bugs either. NO WAY. I love that you said you wouldn’t do it for a billion dollars! LOL
I ought to get Lizzie a balance bike. I hated falling over, that is why it took me so long to learn how to ride. And I can tell that Lizzie has the same amount of fear that I did as a kid 🙂
I am just like you, my life is all about my faith and my kids! I can tell that they are your life by this blog!
I am off to check out Say it Face to Face – I love vlogging!

Susan – what a heartfelt Mingle! I got teary eyed watching yours, and teary eyed recording mine. I like the way you describe it as almost being “painful” to love someone so much. Who knew love could be so powerful!
Thank you so much for the wonderful post about Monday Mingle – I appreciate it, and am so happy you are a “mingler”!
