Janice and Susan — Twin Work At Home Moms

In 2006, identical twin sisters, Janice and Susan, created 5 Minutes for Mom and it quickly became an essential, go-to site for moms that entertains and informs, while promoting the online mom community.

Janice and Susan’s backgrounds in writing, software development, business consulting, and ecommerce store management, along with their experience as mothers of young children, help them deliver this high traffic mom blog that was recently quoted in the Wall Street Journal as the 2nd top parenting blog.

The twin sisters work at home managing 5 Minutes for Mom and the network of sister blogs as well as their two online stores: Pedal Cars and Retro Collectibles and A Rocking Horse To Love.

I adore these videos of you two and the image that shows on that second video, of Susan holding your girls, is just precious.

Awesome! I work at home … I actually did find a legitimate work-at-home job which pays by the hour plus bonuses and have been working with them for almost a year now. After 3 years of working as the sole accountant for a company here, I realized my family often took a backseat to my job, and I wasn’t satisfied with knowing that. I was referred to the company I work for out of my home by a friend and after about 5 months of working with his amazing company, I left my accounting job to stay at home with my five children (saving over 13K per year in childcare expenses). A couple of months later, my husband decided to start his own used car business, so we are both home with our children day in and day out and I have to agree with you – it’s GREAT to be able to raise our children with no outside involvement. We have sitters come in our home from time to time to help out, but it’s important that we know exactly what influences are around them.

We are active in their school activities and now, during the summer, we never have anyone scheduling our days! If we want to wake up at 10am, we can do that. If we want to stay up late watching movies for family night w/ our kids, we can do that. If we want to go to a noon matinee or have lunch at the park, we can do that! It’s such a rewarding life, and is only getting better. I wish you both SUCCESS and PROSPERITY as you seek to motivate other moms to support mom-owned businesses and to go after their dreams so that they are able to make their family a priority.
