Julia had asked if I’d paint her fingernails for the first day of school (I usually only do her toenails), but we forgot and as she was laying in bed she remembered. The softy parent that I am, I let her get back up and we painted her nails quickly.

The strongest memory I have of visiting Disneyland when I was six is from “It’s a Small World.”

It was so fun to relive the memories at Disney World this February with my kids. Both Olivia and Jackson loved it!

Oh, my baby girl is just so delicious! I grabbed this super sweet shot during our visit to Discovery Cove.

Little did I know at the time, that it would be the last shot I would ever have of her perfect little baby teeth…

The next day, while her brother and Daddy were enjoying the Indiana Jones show at Hollywood Studios, Olivia took a spill on the concrete steps at the park.

It was just a little, toddler trip — marked only with a two minute session of tears. But later that day I noticed something different about her smile. My little Livie had chipped her tooth!

Honestly I have no idea HOW she managed to chip her tooth! When she stumbled on the stairs, I was right with her and she didn’t seem to even hit anything. But I guess her tooth must have hit the ground. Poor thing.

Liv is an energetic and adventurous girl who has us constantly chasing her. So really, I think her chipped tooth smile suits her. Just one more souvenir of her busy toddler years.

We just got back to our hotel after swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove in Orlando. We had the most incredible day! Discovery Cove is the closest place to perfect that I can imagine. In fact, I think it is vacation perfection.

I could show you the exact same shots of Jackson’s smiles when he was a baby. My kids crack me up! They definitely live life to the fullest!

P.S. I took this during my “photo shoot” with Olivia wearing her Babycape. I have so many adorable shots from that day at our cabin, I could post ten more. But I will stop now.

With cries, pushes and a lifetime of prayers, you finally made it into my arms.

But oh sweet girl – in those last few moments before I heard your precious cries, I thought it would never happen. I felt like I would never be strong enough to make it through the agony. I was sure I couldn’t find it in me to push even one more time.

I screamed, begged, and then miraculously the pain ended and you began.

And from that moment, you have been the answer I prayed for. You are a living dream.

I wish I could live this past year over and over again, never forgetting one moment of you. You are as delicious and perfect as life can be.

And yet as much as I want to relive your short past, I can’t wait to watch you grow and discover who you are.

My beloved baby girl, I wish you Happy Birthday.
