Hot White Chocolate Float — A Sweet Holiday Treat

by Janice

It is time for mittens, boots, warm coats — and hot chocolate!

Like most kids, my kids want to have special steamy drinks to warm their tummies on cold days. And when they see Mom indulging in lattes, they want some of their own!

So, for the last couple years, I have used International Delight to make “coffee” for my kids. In fact, for a long time Olivia thought I was really giving her coffee when I added some International Delight to some steamed milk.

Recently, I bought the White Chocolate Mocha flavor for a fun spin on my kids hot chocolate obsession.

I prefer to heat the milk in a sauce pan on the stove. I put it at medium to high heat and have it almost come to a quick boil. It heats up quickly and just tastes so much better than heating it in the microwave.

Then simply add 15ml of International Delight White Chocolate Mocha. It is rich, sweet and delicious!

And for extra fun — and as a great way to cool down their hot chocolate — I add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to create a Hot White Chocolate Float. It is a little bit of summer dashed into winter.
