Wordless Wednesday - Why Walk When I Can Run?

Written by Janice

With the low light, I didn’t have the chance to adjust my shutter speed when Olivia decided to take off full speed! “Why walk when I can run, Mom?”

Olivia is doing very well in the walking department. She can take about four timid, wobbly steps on her own. But I imagine before her birthday hits on September 28th, she will be running without the need of hands or toys. Watch out world - here she comes!

Thanks to Uisce for creating Wordless Wednesday.

What a cute little visual…why walk, indeed!

This week, my Wordless Wednesday is a picture of the most expensive piece of paper that I owned as a single persion (value of $80,000+). The crazy thing is that I can’t even read it because I don’t read Latin!

#7 - mom24 @ 12:16 am

It looks like she’s gettin’ ready for future Olympics already! Cute!

#8 - Robin (Pensieve) @ 12:17 am

HOW is that possible when she was just born five minutes ago? Bravo for capturing a shot at the speed of “WEEeeeee!” :)

Little ones can really move with walkers…almost too fast for my taste but they love it.

OMG, it doesn’t seem possible!

#41 - Jen E @ 7:56 am

That’s adorable! Love the action shots! :)

#42 - Cascia @ Healthy Moms @ 7:56 am

That is great! Good to hear she is nearly walking already. All three of my kids were/are late walkers. My oldest didn’t walk until she was 13 months, my second, 14 months and my youngest is 13 1/2 mos and still isn’t walking yet. Sometimes I want him to start walking so I don’t have to carry him around anymore, and sometimes I am glad that he isn’t. He expects me to always carry him and I give in because he is my baby. It’s probably my fault that he isn’t walking yet. But that’s ok.

#43 - Danette @ 8:02 am

What a great shot, she’s definitely a woman on the move!!

#44 - Danielle @ 8:08 am

She is really zooming! I can’t wait for E to take some steps.

#45 - Amy @ Thoughts from the Mrs @ 8:17 am

oh, this picture is just adorable! Look at that stride! lol. I love it when my little guy decides to try something new out of nowhere. Those are some of the most fun surprises…to say the least.

#46 - aclaypot4him @ 8:41 am

“Slow down, you move too fast…you gotta make the morning last, yeah…”

#47 - TheAngelForever @ 8:43 am

What a great photo :) My little guy just took off full speed ahead this weekend. Last night my husband captured a video of him walking and saying “Go, go, go” as he moves!

Enjoy the time before she’s running full steam ahead.

#48 - Kim @ Whats That Smell? @ 8:48 am

That’s so funny! And you can see the expression her face too like she’s enjoying every second of it!

#49 - Maddy @ 8:52 am

Well done you. In my next life I shall be the new advanced model of mother, you know the type, the one with a webcam installed in my forehead.
Cheers

She is so cute! I need to get one of those toys for my almost 11 month old daughter Alivia. She can take a couple steps, but sometimes she just goes limp and refuses to try. Oh well….not going to rush her…she can crawl fast enough!
