Giftventure
Children who complain about all the homework and busyness of the school year schedule, are now likely to complain about being bored when they have a little down time this summer. My nine-year-old daughter Amanda loves to read, and that does help fill her days, but even in the books that she selects, she’s looking for one thing: adventure. She loves mysteries, capers, and fantasy. As interesting as a book can be, it’s no substitute for real adventure.
I’ve found one way to keep things exciting: Giftventure.
What child doesn’t like getting mail? In this era of electronic communication, real mail has dwindled. With Giftventure, your child will receive a series of clues and activity packs in the mail which will lead them to discover a gift that you have hidden for them. Click the orange button on the Giftventure site for a clear explanation about how it works.
Giftventure.com is the brainchild of Steve Mock. He wanted to reach out to his nieces in a creative way. He has done this by providing adventures featuring characters children love–pirates, princesses or drag
ons. The child receives letters and puzzles over a span of ten days which reveal clues leading to a gift (of any value) that you have selected and hidden.
Read testimonials about those who have used it or view the FAQ if you have questions about this unique gifting idea.
The Giftventure packs are appropriate for children from ages 4 – 12 and would be a perfect way to send a gift for an upcoming birthday or to simply provide a little creative adventure and excitement for a child this summer. The slogan is “wrap your gift in adventure,” but I’ll take it one step further and suggest that the adventure can be the gift.
Would you like to win one of 5 gift certificates to be used on a Giftventure of your choice (to be used within the United States)?
Spread the word–email your friends and family (perhaps putting a bug in Grandma’s ear about this great idea), and let your blog readers know. The winners will be announced with the others from our Creative Summer Days event on June 24.
