Tackle It Tuesday

Other than tackling the laundry and unpacking from Phil and Jackson’s trip, I am sitting this one out.

On Friday I had a small amount of bleeding and so I am trying to take it a bit easy. But considering that a mom’s work (especially laundry!) is never done, I can’t seem to get too much resting accomplished. How do women do it when they are put on actual bed rest?!? As much as I try to ask my husband to help out, he simply doesn’t have enough time to help that much.

So, I decided to not tackle any additional projects today. If I can get the laundry and the house back under control in the next few days, that will be huge enough for me right now!

But – of course I can’t let my break from tackles affect yours – so the game goes on!

Link up and show up your work ladies!!!

Please try to take it easy. I know everyone is telling you that and really it may be a little impossible with household things to do but try to limit your lifting of things, i.e. laundry baskets :-)
When I was pregnant with my daughter I had a few scares because occasionally I’d have to pick my son up. He was and still is a solid, heavy boy and my GYN told me that’s a NO NO.

I will shamefully post my before and after photos for my Tackle It Tuesday.

Take Care!

Janice~ I don’t know your situation (I should read old posts I bet) but that’s a smart girl to know when to let the laundry and dishes and any else not of eternal significance sit there til a better time. I’l be praying for you while tackling my kids’ playroom.

This is my first Tackle it Tuesday and I am so pumped! Now, to go complete the task I chose…ugh.

Everyone’s entitled to a week off once in a while!! Please rest and take care of yourself and know you, the baby, and the rest of your family are in my prayers!!

My TT is pregnancy related too. (Not my pregnancy)

Taking it easy? You’re making a baby! That’s enough to tackle!

God Bless you!

Take it easy — praying all will be well.

Is Jackson at the age where he likes to “help Mommy?” When kids are young they love to do things to help — maybe he could fold wash clothes or find matching socks when you’re folding clothes — and they enjoy that time with Mom as much as playing a game together. Of course — sometimes it’s more stress and it is easier to do things yourself. :) But that was just a thought that came to mind as I was commenting, so I thought I’d mention it.

Please do rest as much as possible. I know it’s not easy, but you can always do a little task and rest. If you keep doing this throughout the day, you will be able to get a lot done.

Janice, I loved what someone said above… you’re working harder than all of us making that baby! That’s your only job right now! I also wanted to tell you what a blessing this site has been for me. I love reading other mom-blogs and knowing I’m not alone out there. Thanks for keeping up with this in the midst of your busy life.

Janice~ You sound like a woman of great wisdom and someone who has her priorities in line. Work and worry are not conducive to a healthy and happy pregnancy, I’m glad you’re going to let the laundry wait. I promise it will still be there, and probably not as bad as you might think…
I’m really enjoying your blog here, thanks for faithful posting!

I think being put on bedrest would be the beginning of disaster in my house. Prince charming is wonderful but cleanliness is not his top priority! Take it easy and get some rest! You deserve it

Oh Janice, I’ll be praying for you! Take it easy and don’t even feel bad about it! THE priority is that baby of yours!

I was going to say exactly what Daine and Jodie said: growing a baby is enough to tackle right now! When I was expecting Gabriel, I used to worry about not getting things done, but people would tell me that I should consider my pregnancy my biggest and most important “job” of the moment :) . So please, get some rest :) !

OK, this is my first Tackle it Tuesday – I hope I succeed!

That’s plenty enough tackle. Yes take it easy. I said the next time I’m pregnant I’m going to put myself on bedrest for 6 months! Okay not really but your baby and body are most important right now. Laundry can wait. We’re all praying for you. God bless.

Hey Janice!

Take it easy – I´ve been put on bedrest for 4 months while I was pregnant with Luis. Frank did most of the cleaning (I had to give some “instructions” and everything was done slooooowly *LOL* He was too busy, too, but he did everything he could) and my mom came to help once or twice in a week. The laundry will wait…

Take care about you and your baby- that´s enough to tackle!

oh, my, I’m so glad you’re taking it easy! Don’t move a muscle ;-)

It’s no disaster that the house is a mess, the main thing is that you and the baby is well!

Mine was quite the opposite… running around shopping mostly.

Janice, I’m praying for you and glad you’re taking it easy….I just read about your scare, I can totally relate.

After my two miscarriages when I was pregnant with Nicholas, every little thing made me bleed and have cramps. I pretty much had cramping my whole pregnancy and also went into preterm labor at 28 weeks, but you know I now have a beautiful 3 year old.

I wasn’t allowed to do anything, mopping and sweeping made me bleed, I couldn’t carry anything and yes it was frustrating because I had a 3 year old to take care of, but the baby and you is what matters right now….take it easy ok???

Hugs,
Sandra
