I want to add some pizzazz to our home decor for the spring season but am on a limited budget, what are simple updates that I can make that won’t “break the bank”.

Spring updates for home decor

Making changes to your home decor is a great way to usher in spring.  Using different colors, textures and fabrics can bring a fresh and exciting feel to your space. Here are some cost effective changes that you can make, that will breathe new life into your space.

Picture Frames

Swapping out  the picture frames in your home is an easy update that is big on impact on low on cost. There are lots of colors, finishes and even fabrics to choose from. The choice is yours. You can choose frames as understated or as fabulous as you want. This is your opportunity to let your personality shine through.

To add a bit of “pop” to your home, consider choosing colors like whites, pale blues and greens that are reminiscent of spring. Some picture frames are even made from earthy elements like twigs and can give a more natural  feel.

Toss pillows

Changing the toss pillows is another inexpensive way to add some spring flair to your home. I don’t recommend buying big pieces of upholstery in crazy colors and floral prints but, toss pillows are an easy way to experiment with color, prints and patterns in an affordable more subdued way.

Flowers

Flowers are one of the first things that  people think about when they think of spring.  Not only do they bring color, fragrance and delight…they bring life. The sleepiness and stillness of winter is awakened once the first petals pop into view. Spring gardens are great but, why not bring some of the outdoors in?

Tulips are one of many spring blooms that come in an array of stunning colors to bring beauty and cheer into the home. Again, your flowers can be as simple or as extravagant as you wish.  The most important thing is that you like them and that they bring joy and cheer to your space.

So what are you waiting for? Your spring home oasis awaits.
