Teach Your Child How To Tie Shoes with Loopeez – Fast, Easy and Fun

Have you had a hard time teaching your kids how to tie shoes?

I know I buy a lot more velcro shoes just to avoid the extra 10 min in the morning it will take to teach, re-teach, listen to the whining and then end up tying the shoes myself.

I had to dig around a bit to even find a pair of tie shoes in our house to try these out on. Once I found them, I followed the instructions (Loopeez teaches kids to ties their own shoes in 5 easy steps) and set it up for Carter to tie his shoes. It was a bit awkward retraining myself to use the Loopeez, but Carter caught on much quicker than I did.

While this doesn’t shorten the time it takes to tie shoes (it took us longer the first couple of times) it does make it much easier for small hands to be able to do this on their own. With the different colors and designs, it also becomes a fashion statement.

The price is good at only $6 for a pair. They even have two tone shoe laces you can buy for only $5. My son likes how he can snazz up his shoes and I like how it won’t break the bank and gives him a bit more confidence. He won’t have to be embarrassed by having to ask the teacher to help re-tie his shoes at recess or during class.

  8. I love these. My son is 6 years old and mildly autistic. He is just now learning to tie his shoes and this would make it so much easier for him. I would choose the Baseball.

  28. My mom bought my 4 yr old a pair of tie tennis shoes yesterday…so we were just discussing this morning what is the right age to teach kids to tie their shoes. Then I saw this post and just had to enter – serendipitous for sure! She loves pink & purple, so the Girls Camouflage would be perfect, thanks!

  33. I couldn’t wait to enter the contest. i have two toddlers that i’m teaching how to tie shoes, so my son can not have to ask his teacher how to tie his shoes. You guys are the best. I would like the baseball style or the butterfly style for my daughter.

  34. Hi, these are really cool. Certainly would help my son learn to tie his shoes, even though he’d rather wear the velcro staps the rest of his life .. lol We were talking about this the other day.. He would love the baseball design, for sure.
