“Mom! Come quick! Sister fell off her bike!”
How often have I heard these words from my children? Even when the accident is minor, I always run with my heart pounding to see what has happened.
I loved this article on our sister site, 5 Minutes for Faith, by guest contributor Michelle of the blog Following the Forts. I think every mother can relate.
Holding Hands
“Mom, Dad, come quick! Gloria fell! She’s on the sidewalk and can’t get up! She’s bleeding!” Breathless from running, Grace provided us with the details of what had suddenly transpired with her sister. We’d only just arrived at the pool and the girls wanted to go on ahead of us while my husband and I gathered our gear from the car. Excitedly, both girls took off toward the gate, the younger one trying desperately to keep up with the older one.
Unfortunately, uneven concrete and new flip flops turned out to be a painful combination for my little one when she stumbled and fell face-first on the hard and unforgiving pavement.

You are a wonderful writer–had me on pins and needles to find out what happened! Are you going to write a book????

Wow. Thank you so very much, Beth. No, I have no plans to write a book. 🙂 Actually, God has only just begun stirring my heart to write and then share what I’ve written as a way to encourage others with the encouragement I’ve been given. Thank you again for your sweet words.
