Handmade delights for your littlest ones brought to you by Lisa’s Baby Bootie’s…

review-lisa-booties.jpg

There is nothing quite like a tiny pair of handmade baby booties to make a mother-to-be smile and dream. I have to say, booties get me every time and this adorable pair Lisa sent me for my little girl made my heart skip in anticipation.

I imagine there are still some women out there who pick up their crochet or knitting needles as soon as they find out about their exciting baby news, but for moms like me who never did master the art, we need to rely on gifts or buy from artisans like Lisa. I may not be announcing my pregnancy to my husband with a pair of booties that I made myself – but I can greet my little girl with her own special pair of handmade booties.

If you are looking for a special shower gift or just to add to your own layette, Lisa’s Baby Booties is a wonderful Mom-owned store specializing in handmade crocheted and knitted babywear. Lisa’s store offers a wide assortment of beautiful items like Baby Booties, Baby Hats, Baby Headbands, Baby Bibs, Baby Blankets, Preemie Sweaters, Baby Sweaters and Baby Sweater Sets, Handmade Baby Dresses, Layette Sets, and Christening Gowns. All of the products in the store are one-of-a-kind. Lisa makes all the booties and the other items are made by other skilled artisans.

review-lisa-bootie-line.jpg

I asked Lisa, a stay-at-home mom of two girls, how she got started with her business:

I just decided one day that I wanted to learn how to crochet, so I taught myself and my first project was a pair of baby booties. And I just kept making them and decided to offer them in all sorts of themes.

People have really been so receptive to my work and my site as I guess knitting and crocheting have almost become a “lost art” – so many people are excited to come across my site. I also take the time to package them in a special way so customers feel as if they are getting a gift when they open the box!

If you would like to win a pair of Lisa’s sweet little booties, leave a comment here at this post. We will have two winners, one pair per winner. We will announce the winners in two weeks.(This contest is only open to US shipping addresses.)

Update: The winners are…
#13 Tessa from Striving To Be Better
#40 …And Miles To Go Before We Sleep…

I also want to mention that if anyone out there crochets and is looking for a project, Shelly at This Eclectic Life has started a Share A Square project where people around the world are crocheting squares, mailing them to her, and she is putting them together to make quilts for children with cancer that attend Camp Sanguinity in Fort Worth, Texas. I don’t know how to put the link here, but if you go to my blog the Share A Square button is on the left sidebar near the top and will take you to her for all of the details, if you are interested:-)
