Last week, Pamela, a mom-entrepreneur who owns a great store called Happy Panda, asked if she could throw us a “Cyber Baby Shower” to allow stores a chance to get their products reviewed on our site. (For those of you who may not know, Susan and I are both expecting baby girls in the beginning of October.)
Since 5 Minutes for Mom is all about getting Mom-Owned stores recognized – and helping you Moms find fantastic, unique products and places to shop – we agreed. Plus – a cyber shower! – how sweet is that! We are honored and grateful to be “showered!”
And as work at home moms who rarely get out of our houses lately and who spend most of our time with our cyber-friends, we are excited to celebrate our babies with you in this oh-so-bloggy way! You really mean so much to us and we just wish we could all be in a room together, feasting on appetizers and treats, visiting up a storm.
Here is how it will work:
- You can submit your products for review, as well as any prizes you wish to donate as “Door Prizes” at the shower. (Bloggers are welcome to submit gifts and prizes if you want the link and traffic too. We are here to promote all of you!) - On October 1st, we will have the big event. (If, however, we are both in the hospital delivering our babies, I suppose we might have to postpone it a bit. But since we are due October 9th and 13th, we are hoping that we will still be available!) How neat! I am so jealous. We just welcomed our 6th little one and I’ve never had a shower.

Ooh, that’s really great. I am also expecting soon, but baby showers are not a tradition in our country =(. But I do remember some wonderful ones with my firstborn when we lived in the USA =).
Cool idea! My kids were both born right at 38 weeks (which is good–full term and I didn’t have to wait), but most people are waiting and waiting it seems!

i would love to participate. i’ve never had a shower and i’m having my third at the end of novemeber. though it’s a boy. i already have two girls
Wow. This is a great idea. However–you two be careful not to wear yourself out with all the reviews. Those babies are more important than anything on this site.

When I saw your due dates I had to stop and post.
My twin girls had their boys four days apart,
October 14 and 18. The boys even weighed the same. As a BTW, did you have your own language when you first started talking? My neighbors stopped letting their little ones play with my twins because they were learning the “twin” language instead of English. I still LOL over that
