medium to large apples - finely sliced and chopped

Instructions
Thaw filo pastry (if frozen)
In a bowl, mix together chopped apples, lemon juice, flour, sugar and spices
Unroll your filo pastry onto a clean counter, tea towel, or parchment paper
The key to working with filo pastry is to keep the pastry covered with a damp tea towel while you work. It dries out very quickly.
Place one sheet on a large piece of parchment paper
Gently brush with butter
Place about 1/3 cup of apple pie filling in the middle of the filo sheet, about two inches from the bottom of the sheet
Fold up the bottom of the file sheet on top of the bottom of the apple pie filling
Then fold one third of the length of the pastry over the filling
And then continue to fold the filling up like you are folding a flag, stopping once or twice to brush the pastry with butter
Once the triangle is completed folded, brush the entire triangle, front and back, with butter.
Sprinkle with sugar, if desired
Cook two or three at a time in the Airfryer at 160*Celsius for about 6-8 minutes, making sure to check at 4 minutes
Depending on the size of your triangles and the amount of filling, cooking time will vary. So pay close attention.
Cook until lightly brown and apples are soft when pierced with a toothpick
Allow to cool just slightly before serving. You definitely want to serve while still very warm.
Serve with an icing glaze, a dollop of whip cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or as is.
