Ingredients
1cupflour
½tspbaking soda
¼cupcocoa powder
1tbspinstant coffee
Pinchsalt
¼cupbutterapprox. half a stick, softened
1large eggat room temperature
½cupgranulated sugar
¼cupchocolate chips
For decorations:
½cupchocolate chips
¼cupFestive chocolate chipsours are red, green and white
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
In a small bowl, sift together a/p flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, instant coffee and salt. Set aside.
Using an electric mixer, beat butter and egg until smooth. Add sugar and mix until creamy.
Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients, one third at a time.
Mix until all ingredients are well-combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and then form a log out of your batter (about 7-8 inches in length) on your lined baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes and remove from oven.
Cut log into strips (about 1 inch thick) with a serrated knife and then bake for another 6-8 minutes.
Allow to cool on a wire rack.
Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl – microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in-between.
Scoop the melted chocolate in a sandwich bag and cut out a small portion of the corner.
