Student Of The Day???

You know you’re a blogger when something funny, crazy or embarrassing happens to you, and one of the first things you think is, I HAVE to blog this! That happened to me yesterday….

Yesterday my daughter was student of the day at her school. Basically she got to be the teacher’s helper and wear a large sticker on her uniform that said Student Of The Day. She was quite delighted about the sticker. It was all she could talk about.

After I picked her up from school, we headed to the grocery store. Audrey and her brothers were perfectly behaved in the store, in fact it was quite bizarre how good they were. We finished up our shopping and headed to the car. I quickly buckled the kids in and then started loading the groceries into the back.

As I loaded the last few bags in, the gentleman who was parked next to us, approached his car. He threw a small bag of groceries into his back seat, and then turned to look at me.

“Student of the day?” He asked.

“Oh no!” I replied. “Is the sticker on my car, or on your car?”

Teasingly he responded, “um, it’s on your butt.”

Oh, hilarious!! Years ago, my mom once walked around with a strange sticker on her purse that said “Dead Cat Inside.” Of course, she didn’t know it, and it was pointed out to her at the grocery store by a stranger. She was mortified!!! LOL And we never knew who put it there, either…

What a great way to start my weekend, knowing that it happened to another mommy, too! My son put one of the produce stickers (Freshly Picked!) on my boob. The cashier noticed and let me in on his little prank.

So, sooo very true! I am constantly thinking of writing what happens to us in the moments. This is so funny because sometimes as a Mom I can care less whats on my clothes and other times I check or ask Mackenzie if there is anything on me! Thanks for the laugh! I needed it:)
