The Killer Tackle contd.
Ladies – this tackle is spreading and taking over the house! Help! You know when you start in one room and then you go to put something in or get something from another room and you get distracted and start cleaning that room? Well, that is the situation over here. My basement tackle has led me to rip almost everything out from under our bed (I had storage containers of some of Jackson’s baby clothes and some of my old purses, clothes, etc under our bed) and from our bedroom’s closet as well as my son’s closet. The upstairs is covered in rubbermaid containers and piles of stuff. It is crazy! Oh ladies – if only I hadn’t forgotten my camera’s at Sue’s house. But I am so engrossed in the mess, that I can’t stop to go get it to take a picture. I must push through. If I stop now, I will be lost. So, when you eastern early birds wake up, grab your coffee and check in to sign the linky, I may still be up, sorting out old clothes, stuffing rubbermaid containers and adding to the every growing pile for goodwill. (The good news is that I am accumulating a lot of great stuff to give away!) Hope your tackles are merry! 🙂 And I will hopefully report back with some pictures later. |

It’s great to hear about your basement tackling! I’m doing the same thing — and yes, it does spread to other rooms! I’ve found that cleaning up the basement meant that I could move some toys out of the kids’ bedrooms down to the basement — which made me want to buy some new baskets to organize their closets.
Throw a little Christmas shopping into the mix — and things are a bit crazy for me too. 🙂
I did take a whole trunk load to Salvation Army yesterday, as well as gave a bag of hand-me-downs to a good friend. It feels good to at least make a small dent in our need to declutter.
Keep up the good work! 🙂

I can’t believe a week has already passed! Has someone pressed fast forward without telling me?
Cheers

Your so good always tackleing something on Tuesday. I have been going through many things since hubby has been gone and I also have a lot of great toys that Goodwill is picking up on Friday, so at least I am accomplishing something.

I get distracted all the time, part of the ADD. I was going to clean out my kitchen cabinet above the refridgerator for my Tackle It Tuesday. In fact I had already started when I got distracted with wrapping presents for my family back east. I then started to clean out my Wrapping papper storage area. Maybe I can get to the cabinet next week….

I think it’s a great sign of productive progress. I don’t store anything under our beds. If you can wing it, I’d love to see a picture of what your bed looks like, get an idea of how the system of storage works underneath it for you 😉 Sending my {{{{vibes}}}} & love 😉

This is my first try at Tackle It Tuesday, but it was a big one!

We have outgrown our home. Foster care means having lots of stuff for lots of different children. Whew! That’s okay I just try to make sure it’s neat although a bit crowded. My tackle was home biz related and I needed to do it in the wee hours before the house awoke. Although the cats were up but that’s another store.

It took me a while, but I finally got it posted…

Cleaning always seems to make a mess, doesn’t it? Kind of an oxymoron if you ask me! 🙂 Keep up the great work!

I haven’t done a Tackle for a while and my house shows! Today will be the cupboard. I decided to start small.

Sounds like you’re doing your Spring Cleaning early this year! Have a little cabin fever going on? 😉
I’ve FINALLY posted another Tackle-it-Tuesday. Enjoy! 😉

I am so glad we just moved in our house! We threw away the majority of our things when we moved and basically started over with absolutely no clutter! We’ve only been here about half a year, so I should be safe for another year or 2 🙂
Good luck!!!

You are going to be so happy when this one is accomplished.

Sorry about double linking :::blush:::. The breakfast thing was not what I clicked on. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck on your basement. Mine is a huge undertaking, too. You’ll make it! On the bright side, it sounds like your whole house is getting done in the process!

I know what you all mean! For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to de-clutter my WHOLE house. My goal is to get it done before New Year’s Eve. I’m workin’ on it!

Oh yes – I know those kind of tackles. You start out dusting and all of the sudden you have everything on the floor and start purging all the stuff you wanted to get rid off for seversal years. I did that a couple weeks ago, but forgot to take picture.
I hope you are doing well this morning and didn’t stay up too late.

I’m sure some people will be greatly blessed by your tackling efforts. :0) Funny how we go from one thing to another. Somehow I started tackling a frame and went on to going through all my kitchen cupboards. :0)

Oh, how I recognize this! That’s how it begun for me when I started TIT’s… It started an avalanche of things 🙂
It’s good though to be on the track, a bit messy on the road, but the end of it will be so rewarding!
You go girl 🙂
