One of my goals for 2013 was learning how to knit. I know, to some it may seem silly, but knitting has made a huge come back! And with all the resources available online now, no longer do you need your grandmother to teach you the skills.
But if you have a knitting nanny, call her up – I’m sure she would live to teach you!
When I was a little girl, my mom taught me the basics of knitting. I learned how to cast in, knit and purl. But at 10 years old I really didn’t have the attention span.
Now I want to knit! And I’m thrilled to be able to tell you that I have successfully knit three hats! I found the pattern on PurlBee and it was free to use. The perfect quick to knit pattern for a beginner.
Here are my first two completed hats. I finished them both within 24 hours!
