What Are Your Kids’ Favorite Books?

I love story time with my kids.

Right now, Olivia is in that stage where we have to read the same three stories every night.

Sure, we can mix it up and add in some others too. But her three main stories must also be read or she gets very distressed.

(It is so cute because she has her favorite pages too which she asks for every time and she points and tells me what is happening on the page.)

The funny thing is, her three favorites are the very same ones that Jackson was obsessed with at her age!

So today, over at Say it Face to Face.com, I am asking what are your kids’ favorite books — and if they make you read them every single night.

You can answer me here in the comments — and/or for even MORE fun, jump over to Say it Face to Face.com and leave your answer in the threaded video conversation.

It is simple — all you need is a webcam or a video camera. Say it Face to Face.com uses your YouTube link to add your video to the site. So simple. So fun. So addictive.

See you there…

Okay. First of all: you are the CUTEST. I love seeing you “in your element” with your kids.

Usborne Books are the best, aren't they?

Also: do you speak French? I've been thinking more and more about how I'd love to teach my girls a foreign language, but neither my husband or I speak a second language (I know a little bit of Spanish, but not much…).

We're currently reading A Father's Promise at night. It's a really good book. Our boys, ages 12 and 9, still enjoy having me read aloud with them.

Those are a few favorites here too!!! I LOVE Fancy Nancy. Also, Jillian Giggs is a big hit here.

When Julia was 2 she had a few books we had to read every night. But now she likes variety and Sophia just goes with the flow. YAY!

my littlest one is 22 months, he lovvves fish, so he's obsessed with the abbreviated version of One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. But he's only interested in the picture of the baby fish in the stroller or the fish driving the car. Otherwise, I can't get him to sit for a book. My older one sat for books since he was 5 months old! (What did I do wrong the second time??? Oh well! Kids are all so different!) But my three-year-old is obsessed with firetrucks, and we have to read the Rescue book over and over which has a zillion pictures of every rescue vehicle in the world and he knows every.single.one of them. I love that he loves reading though! I hope it'll grow on my second one!

I was thinking about starting some book threads over there, so that's great!

Cuppycake – my little girl has a house full of “boy” books from her brother. I need to get out and buy more “girly” stuff!!! Julia, Susan's daughter, loves Fancy Nancy too. We have “Olivia” but my kids haven't attached it to it. They like it, but it isn't in heavy rotation. THANKS for sharing!!!

Adorable! We absolutely could not live without Pinkalicious, Olivia, and the very favorite of our house: Fancy Nancy! I guess it shows that I have a girly diva girl, eh?
