Tackle It Tuesday – Week 25

Updating Pages for Christmas

Well again Janice went away for an extended long weekend and left me behind to work. Sigh.

So all weekend I worked on our rocking horse store and I still have so much more to do that I won’t ever get done.

I have to get most of my work done on the weekends or while Julia is asleep. It’s especially hard when Janice is away since she normally helps look after Julia for part of the day so that I can work.

One of the projects I’m working on at the moment is updating our Rocking Horse On Sale pages to include a new Christmas sale banner. And while I’m editing each of those pages, I’m also updating the wording and fixing various other little details. I also recently made some changes to the color scheme and header and soon I’ll be adding more changes to the template.

It’s just so hard to make enough time to work on our stores. We have hundreds of new products that we want to add to the sites and so many fixes for this and that… but each day goes by and not enough gets done. Again, sigh.

So my tackle it this week is the Toys On Sale pages. As you can see here I have 22 categories — some with up to 35 products in them — to update with our new Christmas Sale banner. (My plan is to later just change the image file for the banner ad to reflect different seasonal sales. Because going into each product to change it is too much work.)

So this week I’m sorry that I have no exciting before and after household transformations. That’ll have to wait until Janice returns from her trip and tackles something in her house. My house instead will remain piled high with unfolded laundry and toys. And maybe I’ll get a few product pages updated.

Well – hey I give you props!!!

YOU GOT A POST DONE and SEVERAL PAGES I see!!!

WOOT good for you – for me – I have been so busy I have not even gotten the post done for my Tackle it! UGH – it’s more fun visiting – though I DID clean LOL – but with Zachary’s 3rd Birthday, my business partner leaving, AND the new site and trying to work out all the bugs and a couple orders that needed to be sewn – well time is just not my friend these days!

ORDER I NEED ORDER – or maybe its Calgon I need, HMM when was the last time I showered? *smelling under arm* oh yeah, yesterday hey that’s not so bad right?

Anyway, GOOD for you – I too have to do “work” while Zachary is sleeping, I mean who can WORK when there awake?

    🙂

Wow! You sound super busy! The house can wait. It’s not going any where. Take a deep breath and slowly release and SMILE. You’ve got a great family!

I’ve got some website work I’m doing on the sidelines. It’s not in the Tackle it mode yet but your post reminded me to do little each day.
Of course I’m sitting here thinking my Peanut needs a rocking horse so I’ll have to check out your updates. 😉

Ugh, it’s almost harder to do website work because it isn’t as tangible and the house is still a mess LOL. At least it can’t be destroyed again by small little hands ;). I need to do some updates for Christmas too. Have a great Tuesday!

Well, I’m up. It’s kind of lame-o today, but I figured out how to get the pics up with what I have here. Woo hoo!

I’m facing the challenges with ecommerce updates too, such a nightmare with my webhost’s server going haywire. I can relate to dealing with so many products too. Enough to drive me very crazy at times, how about you??! 😀 Congratulations on your progress and wishing you all the best with the christmas period! 😀

Wow, that’s a lot of rockinghorses or toys. Looks like fun even though i’m not having any kids to play with them. They look good, the pages!
