Late last night, I finally shut down my computer and curled up with a blanket on my couch. As I ate a bowl of cereal, I turned on CNN, but my appetite quickly faded as I watched stories of the rising flood water and bursting levees in the US.
While watching houses, farms and livelihoods wash away, my heart broke for the families affected. I tightened the blanket around me, grateful to be warm and dry, and thanked God that my kids were safely tucked into their beds upstairs.
It made me wonder – which mom bloggers are blogging about the floods?
On Kirtsy I found An Iowa Mom who has set up a site to help Iowa flood victims.
And I am sure there are many more of you out there who are affected by the floods or who are writing about it. (Obviously many of those caught in the worst of the flooding can’t get online. But for those who are able to get internet access, we want to hear how you are doing!)
So, we thought we would put up a Mr. Linky here for bloggers to add their links so we can all find your sites and posts.
To participate is simple:
If you are blogging about the flooding in the USA, leave your URL in the Mr. Linky table below. (If you want, you can link back to this post and let your readers know that they can find more flood related posts here.)
If you want to read flood related posts, click on the links and visit the sites.
God Bless!

We at the point.com are trying to raise money for a family whose house was destroyed in the flood, and whose employer was also shut down due to flood damage.
If anyone is interested in helping out, $5 or $10 would be terrific. We’re at $190 right now and need to get to $500 as soon as we can.

Thanks to everyone out there.

As You remember those who suffer and pray for them. Remember also to consider the effects this is going to have on your family and your budget.

Our small town was hit pretty hard with floods. Although it is not on as big of a scale as some places it was still pretty shocking for our small community. I am linking up in case anyone wants to see the pictures of how our area was affected.

Some terrible images on TV – but the one that got me was the swimming pool party in a roof top pool that was surrounded by flood water! Lisa

It is horrible, we see pictures on TV every day here in Belgium ! I hope the government does more this time then in New Orleans where Bush refused all help from the European countries !! Nobody could understand that !!

I’m not blogging about it, but my husband who is a meteorologist (hailing from Martinsville, IN which also flooded) has blogged about it. I didn’t Mr Linky him because he isn’t a mom, lol, but you can check out his blog at http://wx-man.com if you want to read what he has blogged 🙂

Not blogging about it, but being from Iowa, I have many friends and family that are affected. THank God for people who are helping bring attention to their plight.
