I have worn these boots since I took them out of the box!

Acclaim -- by Earth Footwear

I first heard about Earth® Footwear on Twitter and on mom blogs. (Yes, social media buzz sure works!) I immediately wanted to try this innovative line of footwear:

Each and every pair of Earth® Footwear features a 3.7° incline that helps you strengthen and tone your body with your every step.

Not only was I hooked on the concept of burning more calories with every step, but their shoes and boots look fabulous!

So I was thrilled to test out a pair of boots this winter. Earth Footwear sent me a pair of Acclaim boots in black leather.

I opened the box last week and I have worn them every day since! In our Vancouver rain, the Acclaim boots are fabulous, keeping me dry and safe from slipping with the fantastic grip on the soles.

I even took them with me this weekend when my family and I went to Whistler, a local ski resort. They were perfect for our long walks through the cold, snowy village.

It is amazing to me that I could take a brand new pair of boots and not have any “breaking in” time. In five days. I have walked miles with no discomfort!

The calf is very roomy, so with my skinny cargos and jeans they are a bit loose. But the looser top allows me to wear my other jeans which wouldn’t fit in a tighter boot.

If you find that boots often fit tight for you in the calf, you will find the Acclaim will offer extra room. It is also slightly elasticized behind the adjustable buckle and in the calf, which makes it even more comfortable when walking.

acclaim-boot-earth-footwearThe only downside to these boots for me is the heel which is bit thicker than I would prefer. It makes the boot quite casual but if you are wearing them as an every day boot like I am, the heel is ok. (And I just saw a picture of Gwen Stefani wearing a very similar boot with almost the exact same thick sole and heel!)

If you want to enter to win a pair of Acclaim boots by Earth® Footwear, just leave a comment here. What are you looking for in a pair of boots. Is comfort your biggest concern?

This giveaway is open to US continental shipping addresses and closes on December 11th. This giveaway is void where prohibited. Please see our site’s terms and conditions for our complete contest rules.

Please Note: Earth Footwear provided a review sample and prizing. My opinions are always 100% my own!

It depends on why I’m buying the boots. If it’s for warmth, I’m looking for actual warmth. If it’s for fashion, I go for a look and a bit of comfort. If I can find ‘the look’ and great comfort, I’m a happy girl.

I should say comfort, right? But I really care about how the boots look, and honestly, I’d endure a little toe-pinching for a really cute pair of boots. 😛 These boots look awesome though. Stylish and comfortable. The whole kit and kaboodle!

Yes, comfort is. I have arthritis all over, especially my feet, so I have a hard time finding shoes that work for me. These look great because they do not have heels and any wierd angles which that would bend my foot.

Plus, I have super muscular calves, so am glad to hear that these are roomy.

I’m looking for boots that will fit my calves. I went looking for some on black friday and the CSR was convinced I would have no problem fitting into high boots, she even told me, “The other day this woman came in with HUGE calves and had no problem zipping these up.” Well, apparently mine are a bit HUGER, cause they didn’t even zip up at all. Wow, I love those; right up my alley. I just threw away my old cheap pair because they were peeling on the toes (fake leather but they worked.) Oh, and comfort ALWAYS has alot to do with a shoe purchase for me. Yes, style matters, but what’s the point if they are not comfortable. I think it is silly to be in discomfort in order to “look good,” but that’s just me.

I love boots! When I buy boots I look for quality first then comfort. I have that the price is not always an indicater wheather it is a quallity item. I found many shoes and boots that were made really well with a low price tag. and of course there are those that cost a small fortune and fall apart after one season.

Width in the toebox is important. So, fit, I guess. But it also has to be low-heeled and very comfortable. And, of course, look good, too.

I actually want to win a pair for my mom, who dedicates her time to helping others. She rides trail patrol for her neighborhood, volunteers to keep her street clean and helps run the Challenged Children’s Rodeo here in Norco, CA. She is on her feet (or her horse) all day long and needs a pair of boots that will be comfortable! It would be so awesome to give these to her for Christmas!

Comfort first!- definitely. I like a boot to be sturdy, to hit high enough on the calf that my jeans aren’t constantly escaping, and waterproof. Good amount of tread on the bottom- why are so many boots slick on the sole? It’s treacherous!!! Breathability is also really nice and hard to find in a boot. Style is important too- of course, but if they look good but lack everywhere else it is just not worth it for me.

I look for 4 things in a boot- comfort, arch support, how they fit, and style in that order. First they have to be comfortable so I can go all day w/o wanting to take them off, then I need arch support which goes right along with comfort b/c then if my feet hurt they aren’t comfortable, next how they fit is important b/c I have tried on boots that feel great but are real loose in the ankle and then look funny when being worn. Finally style I would love a pair of boots that look good over or under a pair of jeans. I believe I am picky but a pair of boots should last me a long time and so they need to be perfect for me. Love these boots in black!

I’ve had surgery & a metal plate inserted in my left ankle, and also had surgery on my right knee. It’s so difficult to find boots that fit both left & right! These look comfy and adjustable…I need these boots!

`I have a very hard time finding boots that I like. I am very particular with the look and the feel of the boots, I don’t want them to be heavy and bulky. I want them to be soft and easy to break in., I want style and with earthfootwear, I love the thought of being able to exercise while wearing them. Since I have been introduced to earthfootwear earlier this year through “Bookieboo” twitter party, I love them. I have 3 pairs of sandals. and one pair of worn out tennis shoes. Now I need a pair of compfy boots to go with them. Thanks

In all footwear, I look for durability and style. In the Pacific NorthWET, shoes have to hold up to some challenging weather six months out of the year, and I want my shoes to last (especially if they are favorites). But of course, I want them to look snazzy with skirts to skinny jeans!

Comfort and look are the two things I always look for in a pair of any shoes. And it’s actually harder to find than it seems. It’s easy to find comfortable shoes that look like they belong on an orthopoedic shelf or good looking shoes that you can’t wear for longer than ten minutes. So when I find shoes that are both comfortable and nice looking, then I’m happy.

I am always looking for a nice sturdy pair of boots that look good but will hold up to the wet British weather! I can never wear boots that are high like this because I have more ‘shapely’ calfs (as my Grandmother used to call my fat calfs! LOL!) but small feet! These look like they would be PERFECT! By the way I’m entering because I’m going to be at my Mom’s in PA from mid December till end of January – so I DO have a US shipping address next month! Hehehe! These would be perfect to wear during my trip.
