Time To Decorate The Christmas Tree

It’s that time of year…

I wanted to have my decorations and tree up by December 1st. I love to enjoy the Christmas scene as long as possible. But things are so busy with our stores and with the babies, that I just didn’t manage to get it all done until this weekend.

But now the house is trimmed and it really feels like Christmas time. I know Olivia is too small to understand what is going on – but she sure loves the lights and the Christmas music.

Here is Olivia “helping” me decorate the tree. (She is lying on our Blessed Nest nursing pillow. Seriously ladies – if you ever are going to purchase a nursing pillow, these mom-designed creations are the greatest ever!!!)

And here is Jackson putting the angel on top. Jackson is about 4’3″ tall and weighs over 65 pounds (and he is still five!) so holding him in the air to do this job is quite painful for Phil!

And here is the finished product.

I love decorating for Christmas, but we have a son whose birthday is the 23rd. I hold myself back until after his birthday party and then I transform our home into a winter wonderland.

    Beautiful work, by the way!

This was my first week participating in Tackle It Tuesday and it felt great to accomplish something that I otherwise probably wouldn’t have! It’s made me start thinking of other areas of my home that I want to organize that have been left for too long! Thanks!

My house is trimmed as well but today is Gingerbread house day with my 5 year old. We’ll see how much of a house we end up with since we both love sweets.
