Wild Blackberries

Our family has been picking blackberries daily these past few weeks. They are as delicious as they look.

Here is a fun thumbnail linky…

But if you prefer the old style, you can use this linky:

My 2 year old took a look at that picture, pointed at it, then pointed at his mouth. I guess we are going to have to go and see if we can find any mulberries outside today.

    Great shot!

    Happy WW!

Mmmmm, my absolute favorite-est berry in all the world. Cobbler, jam, fresh off the vine. I love good plump blackberries.

Did you know that blackberry brandy is an excellent foreign travel accessory? When a new food hits your tummy wrong, a splash of blackberry brandy soothes almost instantly. I was a doubter, but when I travelled to China to meet my daughter, I had to rely on it more than once. My uncle used to travel all over the world for business and he shared that tip before we left! I was thanking him profusely on more than one occasion!!!!

Mine’s a funny WW – at least from where I’m sitting this summer with two teen boys, anyway!

The blackberry season is pretty much finished here now. It was a good year for them and we picked our share. Yummy but the wild plants are very thorny and hard on the fingers.
