Do you want extra exposure for your own blog, website or store?
If you are a skilled blogger who is experienced with WordPress, you may be a good candidate for our latest feature columnist position.
We are considering creating a new regular feature column called “This Week In The Blogosphere” where we highlight contests and significant posts on other mom blogs throughout the blogosphere. Bloggers would submit their site and post information for consideration and in exchange for being included in the post, they’d also provide a couple of links back to certain sections of our sites.
We’re looking for a capable blogger to manage this weekly feature column.
This is not a paid position, but instead offers many other benefits for the columnist. Some of these benefits are:
- Continual incoming quality links to your own site
You would get links to your own site on our Feature Columns summary page as well as a detailed writeup (see example here) where you can include links to one or more of your own blogs, sites or stores.
You’d also have a link included on Our Blogroll page. And then of course on every post you write you’ll have a link back to your own site. - The opportunity to link to specific posts on your own blog.
You will have the chance to highlight certain posts or contests on your own blog in any of the weekly feature posts. This is a great way to get new readers for your own blog. - Traffic
All of those links will bring more traffic to your sites. - Exposure and writing experience
The experience of writing for “5 Minutes for Mom” is especially great for writers and others who are trying to gain more of a position in the blogosphere and/or build their resumes.
We’re looking for someone who is an experienced blogger and preferably is comfortable working with WordPress. If you’ve been an active reader and commenter here at “5 Minutes for Mom” that will also give you an extra competitive edge.
If you’d like to be considered for this columnist position, please email us at info at 5minutesformom dot com or fill out our contact form. Please include links to examples of your blog writing.
We hope to select someone in the next couple weeks and get the column started soon.
