On my way to posting my WW. LOL about the cereal bars. I’m craving junk right now so that with some chocolate sounds about right! 😉

I see them in the Market, but I won’t buy them for the grandkids. I buy them the fruit roll ups.

I posted another picture on my WW so all of you can see who it really is. lol

It’s amazing to me how, when I was a child, that sugar/cereal stuff was “to die for”! I mea… I couldn’t get enough of it! Now, the very thought of putting that stuff in my mouth makes me gag.

Looks like sticky fruit loops to me! Amazing my five children grew up without all these things and survived. Though they remind me how deprived they were all the time.

    my ww is finally up!

YUCK!! I cannot stand these things. In our home they are considered treats. In my son’s preschool last year the kids were bringing them on “healthy snack” days — what a joke!!

Yes, they have just about any cereal in bar form now. I made the mistake of buying them for my kids (the fruit loops kind and the cocoa puffs kind) and they taste pretty awful.

Um, I’d like sugar for breakfast, please? With a side of sugar, too. Ugh! As if kids don’t have enough natural energy??

Oh, yuck. I saw a recipe once for those, and it involved a can of Eagle Brand Milk. And marshmallows. Sweet, much? You know, I often call graham crackers “breakfast” – smash them up in some yogurt, and they’re quite tasty.

ok, I wouldnt call that “breakfast”…but I bet my grown kids would try them! Of course the oldest would have to keep them hidden from my 1 1/2 & 5 yr old grandsons! lol Thanks for visiting my blog today

My MIL has those at her house for the kids to enjoy, but my kids don’t care for them. If they want fruit loops; the want them in a bowl.

Thanks for stopping by my WW. I hope you have an awesome day! 🙂

My kids LOVE the Cocoa Puffs cereal bars. Once in a while I do let the boys have them. If you look at the grams of sugar in a Quaker Chewy Granola bar, it’s about the same.

Waaay back when I was in college I worked in the school kitchen for work study. The “chef” in charge of desserts would take whatever breakfast cereal was left over and make it into “Treats”. So we would have Captain Crunch Treats, Froot Loop Treats, Frosted FLake Treats, it was different every day.

Hey, back when I used to babysit … many years ago… I had one mom who sent graham crackers and milk for her child for breakfast and told me that was the same as giving him a bowl of cereal! I guess a froot loop bar works as well! (it drove me nuts because then MY kids wondered why I wouldn’t let THEM have cookies and milk for breakfast!) LOL! But personally… I’m a BIG fan of the froot loop! ( with milk! )

Okay, what it looks like to me is a version of Rice Krispies Treats (with Froot Loops). I actually like Froot Loops, but I think they’d be waaaayyyy too sweet as a “Treat.” It looks a lot more like a snack than a breakfast substitute. Never mind that it might offer a little bit of calcium. I cringe to think of the saturated fat in something like that. (They use nasty oils in some of these ‘bars’ to extend their shelf life.)

It is colorful! and very sweet…because of all the sugar, lol. I understand why kids would enjoy these bars. But it doesn’t have to be every.day.

Well, I am not so much for cereal anyway – really I am not.
Though I do eat cranola bars. I have seen the ceral bars in the store though and some of them look pretty good. Not sure how much nutrition is in them .
    Great WW pic.

Those cute little fingers are not my son’s. My friend’s son was eating this when we were at their place and I was just in awe of it – it looks just awful! So I had to take a picture to prove it was real.

Apparently my friend made the error of telling her son he could pick out one treat at the grocery store and that is what he came up with. Gross.

Disclaimer: I am sure that Fruit Loop Cereal and Milk Bars contain some calcium (as they boast) and that some people may enjoy them. I have not tasted them (nor do I plan on it) so I am not speaking from experience. I just thought they looked gross and, more importantly, very funny.
