How Should You Divide Your Time?

I’m constantly struggling with how to divide my precious time… aren’t you?

How much time should I spend writing blog posts compared to how much time building relationships on Twitter? There’s a never ending list of tasks we want to accomplish, but how should we split time between our many priorities.

So while I was at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I asked two busy social media experts — Chris Brogan and Scott Stratten — how they divide their time.

Thanks for the helpful advice Chris and Scott!

We’ll be sharing more pictures and videos from the event here at 5 Minutes for Mom. Also, follow us and all the other moms here on Twitter as we tweet with hashtag #DisneySMMoms.

Don’t miss the next amazing Disney event! Add your email here so we can let you know when we plan the next Disney event with 5 Minutes for Mom.

Have a magical day!!!

(Disney covered costs for Janice and me to attend this event. While attendees did pay for the conference, they recognize that it was a greatly reduced rate and appreciate that Disney is again supporting the social media movement with this event. Disney did NOT ask us or any other attendees to write about the event.)

Talk soon,
Susan, co-founder of 5 Minutes for Mom.

Such great advice from fantastic speakers!
I really like the “award system” Scott spoke about, especially now that I have learned how to use TweetDeck. 🙂
Thanks for all your great video interviews, it really enhances the entire conference experience.

Interesting. Lately I’ve been trying to figure out a good balance between family life and growing our boutique business. Starting a business is definitely a lot of work. And it can be stressful when it starts to interrupt with family life. Thanks for this great advice!

i love their answers! Such good questions.
I often struggle with my time and everything I do on a daily basis.
Too much twitter OR facebook isn’t good.
    moderation is key.
I also use the reward system for myself also.

Great question! I struggle with this often too. I love their answers, it makes it seem so much more manageable. I tried scheduling once but just ignored the list, I’ll have to give it a go again as I think it’s important to keep priorities straight as well.

Thanks so much for these mini-interviews! I’m loving them and looking foward to more!
