This weekend, Christians celebrate the miracle of Jesus’ death and resurrection – Christ’s ultimate sacrifice given for each of us, the children God so dearly loves.
So today, Good Friday, I want to honor my Savior and thank Him for the miraculous gift I can only receive through His grace.
Here is a YouTube version of Todd Agnew’s Grace Like Rain featuring clips from Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. I personally love The Passion of the Christ because it rips me from my safe, easy world and forces me to face the reality of what Christ endured for me. But please be warned that the images are graphic and disturbing.
May God bless you with His peace and grace this Easter.

What a powerful video and song. You have really reminded me what the season is all about. It is so easy to get caught up in the secular version….and I love the video. I love it set to the Passion. I have just become a recent reader of your blog, but I love it. Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

I love this. Thanks for not making it all about the bunnies and candy (not that I don’t like bunnies and candy!). I’ve posted a link to my all-time favorite Good Friday clip on my blog, you can see it here: http://jessgordon-lovelythings.blogspot.com/2007/04/sundays-comin.html.

Rats…I can’t see the video at all. Can you link it at all please? If not, that’s ok. Those images are forever embedded in my mind…and I’m glad they are.

I love that song, it is one of my favorites… My husband and I own the Passion and decided today would be a good day to watch it again. It is such an awesome reminder of how huge a sacrifice our Saviour made to save us. Praise God that he was faithful to God’s Will.
I hope you have a very blessed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Ditto to all the above. I have not seen the Passion… yet. But I really want to now. It about made me cry, if it wasn’t for my little ones saying ” what is wrong mommy,” and wanting to see, I would have been crying out loud. Thank God for saving us and remember this on Easter Sunday. God bless.

I am amazed by the powerful message this clip gives us! The song is absolutely amazing anyway, but paired with this clip (though very difficult to watch) – WOW! Thank you ladies for sharing this!

I’m so pleased to see a blog post honor Christianity and the Easter holiday. I often find that these days, people are afraid to discuss religious topics. THank you for posting this.
