My daughter started kindergarten this year. The school that she attends requires students to wear uniforms. I love the idea of school uniforms. As a grade-schooler, when I moved from Connecticut to Arizona, I endured quite a bit of bullying, because I didn’t wear the name brands that all of the other students were wearing. It was very hard on me.

I am glad that things will be different for my daughter. It warms my heart to know that she won’t be judged by the clothes that she wears. With uniforms, focus shifts to who she is a person, not on the brand name of her jeans.

frenchtoast3French Toast Official School Wear is America’s best selling brand of school uniforms, providing quality official school wear to our nation’s schools for the past 10 years. French Toast School Uniforms offers thousands of different items in sizes 4 to young men’s and juniors. French Toast is also available in thousands of stores nationwide.

French Toast provides style, quality and value, just what you are looking for. The average expenditure for a complete French Toast uniform (pant/jumper, shirt/blouse, sweater, tie) is $45.00. Most children will require two sets of them. That’s $90.00 total, period, for the year.

Not only are they cost effective, but studies show that school uniforms raise both student and teacher expectations.

When dressed neatly and seriously, students tend to behave seriously. Often teachers find calmer, more polite, more attentive students. Students seem to feel more confident in the way they look, and so they have more confidence in themselves.

This Christmas we have one French Toast school uniform wardrobe to give away to one lucky reader.

For a boy, you will receive 6 tops, 4 pants and 1 sweater. For a girl, you will receive 6 tops, 2 pants, 1 skort, 1 short and 1 sweater.

In the comments section please let us know if you would like a wardrobe for a boy or a girl. You can view the sizing chart here.

My name is Laquette and I am nominating my family for the Christmas Giveaway 2009. I have 3 children-Selena 4, Jaylen 5, and Dominic 9. Jaylen has a learning /Behavior/Speech Dissability. Jaylen, Dominic, and I all suffer from severe Asthma. I also suffer from Bilateral Bursitis of my hips, which causes severe leg, knee, and hip pains. Due to my illnesses it is hard for me to keep a job, especially during cold months because I tend to get very ill and unable to go to work. I recently had to quit my job because of illness and lack of childcare for my children because their daycare closed unexpectedly. I do have a part-time job as a home health aide, but I onlwork 15 hours a week at a rate of $9.10/hr. This income is hardly enough to pay my $595 rent each month and still be able to pay utilities, and buy the children clothes and shoes. Because of thiS, i am currently a month behind in my rent and I am struggling to keep all of my bills paid. It would be greatly appreciated if my family was chosen for the giveaway this year.

I LOVE the idea of uniforms, where I grew up (NZ) we wore uniforms, & I wish the States had more schools that required them, they DO make you focus on the person, and not the brand. Where we live especially, it’s very “brand name” orientated – even the parents! THIS is a fabulous idea!
